The drive to this hotel was amazing. It was picturesque, and monkeys were on the hillside and scouring across the road.

One of the positives of this hotel is that they allow you to use the facilities if you are having brunch. While we did not take them up on this offer, we walked around the resort and took in the spectacular views. The funicular was fun and well maintained.

THE BRUNCH For the price we paid (4 million VND each), I would have expected the food to be much better. Let me start with the positives: service was excellent View amazing Venue was a lovely temperature and had a good atmosphere (live band) Champagne was lovely and free flowing Sushi was excellent Cold meats and cheeses very good Unfortunately that is where it stopped. Some of the negatives: Limited variety The food (in particular sushi) was not being replaced, it was just being rearranged. The grill was not hot enough - we received raw lamb cutlets twice and they were not seared, seemed to be stewing rather than grilling. The ‘western’ dishes and ‘Asian’ dishes were bland and lacked flavour It lacked clear signage of what was actually available. We received differing explanations from the staff for one of the live stations. The desserts looked exquisite but were sitting out the whole time (3+ hours). As they were not refrigerated, when I went to eat one it was warm and just collapsed - not pleasant to eat. The sorbet on ice looked like slop, we needed to ask for fresh scoops so it was solid rather than liquid. The slop stayed on show - I would have thought they would replace that.

We have done many brunches across the world, and while the view at this place was spectacular, the food was probably the worst we have had at a ‘la di da’ brunch. Soleil, Mulia, Bali is still by far the best I have ever experienced and it is still much cheaper.

I hope they tap into the unrealised potential and...

Subject: Thank You for the Exceptional Service Dear Team, Hello, my name is Suejee Kim, and I stayed at your property on December 7th, enjoying the breakfast service at Citron on December 8th. I’m writing this email to express my heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding service I received, especially thanks to the manager, who truly made my experience unforgettable.

When we visited Citron around 9 AM, we requested an outdoor balcony seat. Unfortunately, the staff member who was supposed to update us about the waiting time didn’t respond, and we noticed that a party who arrived later than us was seated first. I mentioned this to another staff member, who explained the situation and assured us that we would be seated shortly.

While we waited, the manager kindly approached us, offered champagne, and even spent time chatting with us, which helped make the wait less tiresome. However, after an hour, we were still 8th on the list, and as the breakfast hours were nearing their end, we were told we could take photos at the balcony area after 11:30 AM. This lack of clarity made us feel a bit frustrated.

At that moment, the manager returned and reassured us, promising that we would be seated within 30 minutes. Not only did he keep his promise, but he also went the extra mile by asking the staff to take good care of us and ensuring we enjoyed every moment. Before we left, he even said, “If you’re happy, I’m happy,” which left a lasting impression on us.

His professionalism, combined with his warm and friendly demeanor, turned a potentially disappointing situation into a truly memorable experience. Thanks to his efforts, we left InterContinental Danang with only positive memories.

Please convey my gratitude to the manager for his exceptional service. I hope he remains healthy and continues to make guests feel as special as we did. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Best...

Went for the hi-tea session. 10/10 for the location and atmosphere, we had requested to be seated outdoors on their Non-la tables and would recommend to anyone visiting! The view is amazing, tables are unique and just a great time in general. For the food, because we were 7 people all with dietary requirements, I had booked a table around 3-4 months in advance and advised the staff of all our requirements. However, when we arrived and were seating, staff still brought us the regular menu and were confused when I mentioned we had dietary requirements and had previously informed so the kitchen should be aware of this already. Once that was cleared, we thought we were good. However a few minutes later, another staff member brought in the regular food hi-tea to our table. When we again informed the staff that we had dietary requirements, we were asked if we had informed the staff already. Seemed like there was no internal communication between the staff and random waiters were working the tables as opposed to a dedicated staff member per table (which would make sense). When the food did arrive, the staff explained all the dishes to us - which was great. The food in general was mid - nothing to rave about, considering the price. The view and atmosphere are the only thing that somewhat justifies the price unfortunately. Was pretty hyped to visit here so maybe thats why the service and food was a bit of an extra...

Tonight I had the pleasure of dining at Citron, and it was an experience to remember! The restaurant delivers truly authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Each dish was impeccably prepared, capturing the essence of Vietnam with fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentation. The staff was beyond competent—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and ensured we had everything we needed for an outstanding dining experience. Especially I want to highlight our waiter, Toan Le, who made our visit unforgettable. His expertise and charming manner made us feel completely at ease and exceptionally well taken care of. A special shoutout goes to the bartender, who was exceptional! He crafted a signature cocktail of his own creation that featured cardamom and jackfruit—a unique blend of flavors that was absolutely stunning. It was one of the best cocktails we’ve ever had, beautifully balanced and truly memorable. Citron deserves more than just five stars. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Vietnam paired with impeccable service and creativity behind the bar. Don’t miss out on this gem!
