Just had a wonderful dinner here! I tried the onion soup with poached egg to start, followed by the T bone steak with rosemary sauce as the chef recommended. It did not disappoint. The wine was nice as well. I am very wary of wine here as it is difficult to ship in such hot climates but low and behold, our wine was untainted.
The service the young waitress provided was also the best I've experienced in Vietnam. She kept water glasses full, promptly asked if we needed another glass of wine, and opened the door open arrival and departure.
I have habit of ordering my steak one temperature down from what I enjoy it at, and was thankful I did so tonight. The steak was ordered rare but I felt it came out medium rare. I almost didn't add this bit to the review because the meal was truly fantastic, but I hope the restaurant will take my small criticism constructively! It's difficult to nail steak temperatures and I order under my preferred temperature back in the states as well, at restaurants...
Read moreThere weren't many red flags at first, but the address was hard to find, the spot was confusing, and cars couldn’t drive in. It felt a bit shady.
The staff was unprofessional and lacked personality. They appeared tired, minimally active, and unhappy. They gossiped and seemed to judge us for some reason, which made us feel uncomfortable and like we were being bullied for just being polite.
The space was small, and the kitchen didn’t look good. There were too many people in such a confined area.
No credit card payment method despite still stick on the service on google.
In general, when something is meant to be high-end but doesn't turn out that way, it just ends up looking unprofessional.
I will not pay for the food where leads me to the toxic enviroment here. It sucks and annoying.
In conclusion: The environment was toxic, and the service didn’t match the money spent. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. We won’t be...
Read moreThe best restaurant for meat I've tried so far in Can Tho (I've tried almost all the Western restaurants). The wait is a bit long but the dishes are good. I had green olives as an appetizer, the foie gras block and the filet mignon with two glasses of red wine. The meat is good. The cooking is respected. I asked for rare, I got it rare. On the other hand, the side dish is really small and especially the amount of wine in the glass is really very small. It doesn't correspond to standard quantities. They could make an effort on the side dish. The side dishes are not very generous but the meat is generous. They sell cheese (camembert) but there is no bread. 😭 The bill hurts a bit on the wallet but the price goes with the quality of the meat. Overall, I was delighted with this restaurant even if...
