Carrot Restaurant - Món Âu ngon Đà Lạt — Restaurant in Da Lat City

My reservation was at 8:00, so I arrived at 8.

Asked to stand alone at my dirty table until 8:05.

Was left at my table with an order slip to fill out myself until I went downstairs to find at staff at 8:20.

The wrong drinks were brought around 8:25, correct drinks around 8:35.

I ordered a salad, a pasta, a fried potato dish, and two steaks. One Medium Rare and one Rare. (At the same time as the drinks 8:20)

Salad came at 9:03, steaks came at 9:07. Sent the steaks back because our appetizers hadn't arrived. I didn't look at the steaks so I don't know how they were cooked.

Around 9:15 our pasta arrived, and it was delicious.

Around 9:20 our potatoes arrived, they advertised as "potato shreds taste garlic leaves", what arrived was frozen potato wedges with fake cheese powder, no garlic.

About 5 minutes later the Medium Rare steak arrived. Black on the outside dark brown in the middle.

Bit of a wait after that and the rare steak arrived cooked just as thoroughly...

Steaks were sent back, paid for the dishes and drinks that came back and went to get some Banh Mis.

I guess they weren't caught at their best, but it was just mistake after mistake and hunger over took the desire of the fine things out of the kitchen.

The salad and the pasta were delicious, but they need some help in the front...

I recently dined at Carrot and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. While the ambiance and service were pleasant, the food and overall experience were disappointing for several reasons.

First and foremost, the food was extremely overpriced given the mediocre quality. For a restaurant that markets itself as “fancy,” I expected dishes to stand out, but instead, they were uninspired and lacked flavor. Adding to the frustration, the portion sizes were absurdly small. By the end of the meal, we left feeling hungry despite having spent an absurd amount of money.(compared to Vietnam standards)

To make matters worse, the prices listed on their online menu didn’t match the prices in the restaurant. The discrepancy made us feel deceived—it’s not unreasonable to expect consistency when you’re budgeting for a dining experience.

All in all, this was an overpriced and underwhelming experience. I would not recommend Carrot to anyone looking for a special night out with a loved one or family. And by all means don’t go there on an...

I had a very high expectation about this place because of high review, but I have to give 3 because food was ok, and service was terrible.. ( staffs were super nice, but they need a proper training)

Food portion was small as main dish plate, but because prices were reasonable, so it’s like a big portion of appetizers.

We ordered beef stake, Tuna stake, salad, soda water and red wine, but beef stake came first before drinks and salad. We had to ask for drinks and finally got drinks, Soda water had syrup in it, so we had to ask again... we finally got tuna stake and salad came after we finished eating main dish. Tuna was very dried too... it was not busy night, so I expect this was a normal experience.

If I didn’t expect to have high review I think I would have rated for 4 for reasonable price and cute atmosphere! Staff were super nice, so I don’t think they didn’t mean to serve bad service.
