German Beer House Da Lat 🍺 I found this place around Tet 2025 thanks to a Facebook ad. Sadly, the day I visited Da Lat back then, the place was closed So it wasn’t until 2 months ago that I finally had the chance to try it and here’s the little story I’ll never forget!
First of all… the location is super far from my hotel 😅 I didn’t realize until I was already on the way there. I arrived around 8PM and the area was sooo quiet like scary quiet. I went alone and lowkey felt a bit spooked 😂 BUT I was still excited, because I really wanted to try their beer (I’m a craft beer lover, especially German-style 🍺💛)
When I got there… I was the only customer in the whole place =)) But to be fair, it was a weekday and kind of late. I ordered a sausage platter and tried about 3–4 types of beer. The sausages were just okay (pretty standard, probably ordered from a supplier like most craft beer spots, actually i was expected thats homemade sausage ), but the side dishes were amazing! The flavors mixed together with the sausage and beer so well super satisfying.
Since I was alone, I didn’t try too many beers, but I did find one favorite and had two glasses of it. - the dark one, i think so . its strong & thick. The beer here is actually really good for Da Lat's craft beer scene, and the price is reasonable too not crazy high like some other places.
To be honest, I think the vibe would’ve been more fun with friends, but even by myself, I still enjoyed it a lot. The place is warm, cozy, and lovely, with cute decor that has a little vintage and German touch. The staff were super friendly and nice, which made me feel welcomed right away.
I took quite a few photos here because the place is just so pretty So if you’re a craft beer lover visiting Da Lat, I really recommend you don’t skip this spot. It’s such a cool little hidden gem.
I’ll definitely go back again next time with friends to share the fun and...
Read moreEdit: I changed my rating from 5/5 to 1/5 because this place charges an extra 20% if you are paying with credit card instead of cash. By the law, the customers don’t have to pay any fees if they use the POS machine to check out. If you are a tourist, please be mindful because 20% is A LOT.
I had dinner at this restaurant last week and I was very impressed. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful and cozy decor. The wallpaper tone was warm and inviting, and the paintings on the walls added a touch of class. The lighting was dim, but not too dark, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. I felt immediately at home and relaxed.
I had to wait a little longer than I expected for my food, but it was worth it. The dishes I ordered were all delicious, especially the pasta and the steak. The beer was also excellent. However, I didn't like the fried fish dish because it was too fatty. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. I will...
Read moreWe came here today to get some kind of food from home (We are Swiss).
We had soup, salad, Nuremberger and Schnitze and some beers. Most of it was very good. I enjoyed having a proper German beer for once.
Overall a very positive experience with a few points that could be improved;
Salad: Please give the customer some sauce options.. I personally dont want apples and a sweet sauce on my salad so that kind of ruined the salad for me. In Switzerland and Germany our sauces are salty or vinegary... so a vinagrette or a french or italian dressing would have been what I hoped for.
Rest: I know vietnamese people dont really season their food during cooking but it all just needed a bit more salt. For foreign customers it would be good to just add more salt cause the salt at the table didnt really let through enough to add enough.
Otherwise really nice experience and a good break from the local food. And the service wasvery friendly too so...
