In The Forest Đà Lạt — Restaurant in Da Lat City

A nice location with scenic views over a valley. We stopped for lunch and ordered the combo for 2 which included ribs, steak and sausage with a side of corn, fries and salad.

The staff were professional and the restaurant itself was clean.

The ribs were quite tender and cooked well, however unfortunately the steak and corn were cooked in Vietnamese "butter" (margarine) which has a very strong, overpowering taste that I do not enjoy. The steak was cooked well but the butter ruined the taste of the meat for me and it was under seasoned. We weren't offered any salt or pepper with the meal either. I think using real butter would have made this meal so much better, especially as I personally can't stand the taste of the margarine

Sausage and salad were ok, salad dressing was a bit sweet for me but not bad. Not a lot of drinks on offer outside of coffee, would have been nice to have an option of a beer (there were only 2 wines which one of them was the local one).

The views were nice and there are a lot of places to take some nice photos. I would give this an overall of 3.5/5, just a shame about the use of...

The place is quite hard to reach haha. Need to go through some small roads to reach the cafe but its super worth it.

The scenery is so pretty. I like how they put a different flower in each table. We came early in the morning but I think it would be more beautiful if you came in the evening.

We want to try the steak but its not served yet because its still early. So we only ordered hot chocolate and garlic bread. The hot chocolate taste fine but they can do better with the garlic bread next time.

The place is getting a little bit run down, and it seemed to have better days as most seats were dusty. What was most annoying is that the menu on the listing is not updated, so I expected I would be having lunch there. But after taking a taxi to get to this cafe which is in the middle of nowhere, I was surprised they no longer serve food... They do have some overpriced snacks though, and mostly drinks.
