Stumbling upon Lau ga la e was an absolute stroke of luck! This hidden gem exceeded all my expectations. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel like a valued guest. The menu offered a tantalizing array of flavors, showcasing their culinary expertise. The hotpot (200k) was pretty big portion for two of us (small asian). The broth is tasty and there was lots of bamboo shoots and bit of mushroom. I think the chicken portion was about half. Basil is similar to the Indonesian basil. Good value. we read that we should not check the toilet before we eat. For 200,000 you get a big plate of rice noodles, herbs, and a steaming pot of chicken parts with bamboo shoots, and mushrooms. The hot pot broth is tasty. At this price point the chicken parts are wings, feet, neck, liver, heart, and a few other unidentified bits. Maybe the type of meat is better at higher price points. But we didn't mind.
