La Mappa is a garden café with a beautiful villa in Mediterranean colours as a backdrop, in a fine location near the tourist magnet of Bao Dai Palace. The design is beautiful and makes the most of its garden setting. The ceiling is all wood with wooden rafters. The sides are French sliding doors with huge floor to ceiling glass panes. The seating is on colourful cane chairs set around wooden antiquish tables and a comfortable long sofa with colourful cushions at one end. Wood and green dominate the colour theme. The floor has contrasting old-fashioned mauve andcbeige tiles. This is primarily a coffee shop, so there isn't much to eat, other than croissants with jam. I'd a Vietnamese black coffe which had the flavour of a rich arabica. The croissant with jam wasn't that great. It wasn't warm, too flaky and the jam too little. At the junction of the pathway and the road, we came across this LA MAPPA coffee shop. The price is affordable, the environment is beautiful, and it is surrounded by flowers. The small garden behind the shop is suitable for ordering a drink, sitting and relaxing, and regaining your own sense of abundance of time.
