Hao Tea House - Vegetarian Restaurant — Restaurant in Hà Giang

We booked one night here due to the "outstanding" reviews we've seen from this place. But let me break down all my disappointments:||||All the 5 starts reviews are fake. You can spot at the 1st sight. Pics are not that good which makes you wonder how the heck this place can be that awesome? Well, as you see, we rose to the bait.||||We arrived at this empty place. It looks nice, indeed. We arrived few days prior to Tet and there was a fire bucket just next to our room. So the room was smelling like smoke. Plus some trash on the floor. Bathroom was so filthy!! Really, I think it hasn't been cleaned for quite a while.||||There was only a boy at the reception and he was playing online game the whole day! Well, it's not a problem if your job is done but when it's not... We wanted to have dinner, as the place is supposed to be a vegetarian restaurant too. At 19h30, we were told the kitchen was closed. Later on, when we came back from dinner, we asked to have a tea, as the place is called "Tea house", and the boy was playing his game, didn't even looked at me when I asked to have a tea. He said "sorry, no tea. I don't have the machine to make tea". I asked how is that possible as it's a tea house and he continued playing and did not replied me.||||Breakfast is just a simple bread + scramble eggs. Nothing that is said from the pics like with these great chopped fruits and etc. ||||Room was the only thing that was okay. Bed was okay and blanket was warm.||||The so-called "Meditation room" is a storage room. That's it.||||Staff not motivated at all and don't make any effort to reply a question, whatsoever. When we asked for butter, the boy said "no". I even asked again, to make sure he understood what I said "you don't have butter? You know butter for the bread?", he said no.When the other girl from the hostel came and she asked what we wanted, she said "yes, we have butter".||||Overall, overpriced for what is advertised + bad service and dirt. ||||It's a pity that this place is treated that way, as I see a good potential in there, specially for backpackers. We don't need much of a luxury place, just be treated well and have a cleaned place. Not too much...
