Bánh Bèo O Mai — Restaurant in Hà Nội

My second time here in less than 2 weeks. A real family gem. The dishes tasted just like Huế food. The first time I ordered a lot of food, bánh bèo , bánh nậm, bánh ram ít and the owner gave me a complimentary bánh bột lọc because they didn't have enough left for a full order. I paid a little over 100k VND but I had so many cravings 😂. The second time I was wiser and again went for their bánh bèo, order a full bánh bột lọc and added chè bột lọc dừa as dessert. Call me pig. The owners are so kind and welcoming. They also speak English fluently. The place is so peaceful, located in a super quiet area, 1min walk from a busier street. Super cozy. Feels home away from home....

A hidden gem. Definitely worth the visit. The people were really friendly. And they speak good English as well. We came here specifically for the Banh Beo, but the lady boss told us they were running out of the crispy fired shrimp bits. But she was still willing to make the Banh Beo for us with some modifications so we can taste it with different toppings. And the Com Hen was super super good. Recommend anyone to come here and give it a shot. It is not along the main road, got to walk a short way...

Chanced upon the restaurant and decided to try something for brunch. Order something that shared the name with the place 😂

Chatted with the bosses in English and they explained that the food served is from the hue people! Thank you for explaining the hue dishes 😉 will revisit for a full meal...
