Chai Talay Restaurant — Restaurant in Hà Nội

There are not many pictures to post though I've been here at least ten times already as it's a convenient location and it has many working tables. The reason is that I don't like the place at all but just sometimes, I have to accept that I would come here. It's getting worse, not as nice as it was wjen I came on the first time.

I'm really disappointed that now they change it all to plastic 🥤 for dine-in orders.

They give a new coat to the meny by adding more items but there's no improvement in the quality of the drink. All of the time in the drinks with cream cheese, the cream is not smooth but curdy/lumpy. The tea is super sweet and sugary if you forget to ask No sugar. Their "creative"coffee is the worst. You imagine your coconut coffee or salted coffee will be something like at Cộng cafe or other coffee? No, it's just a little brown coffee added with either sweet or salty cream on top. That's all.

The toilet is also terrible. Because there's no bidet sprayer, some customers can't help themselves to leave the toilet as it original look so sometimez when you come, you see a nightmare there. Not to mention, with that big bathroom, I once saw a couple coming together for like... 5 minutes.

If you want to do some laptop work or study, recommend the 2nd floor, it may get busy but the the other guests may be like you or just come for chitchat. Whereas on the 3rd floor, although there's still a signboard of "working space", staff says it's now just like other floors so many bubble lovely-dovey couples come there for PDA.

The only good thing about this restaurant is its parking man. A very helpful person. I waited for my order for half an hour, when the other 10 people who came after me were served first. A waiter asked me 5 times what drink do I want and in the end they brought the wrong one. The staff weren't polite too. Despite that the restaurant is not cheap. After all, when I had to pay the bill, all the people behind me in a queque were asked to pay first. I was in a rush, and finally I didn't have enough time to eat. The cafe is truly spacious, offering both indoor and outdoor seating as well as a pool and parking area. The drinks are generally decent, and the pastries are alright, with prices hovering around 60K. The place is quite popular, mostly among the younger crowd, so there might be some waiting involved due to the crowds. However, the staff is friendly and the service is pretty quick, usually taking around 5-10 minutes to get your order.
