Tex Rock Steakhouse — Restaurant in Hải Phòng

We were there for lunch. It was easy to find the restaurant because it was located in a main street of Hai Phong. We ordered steak and they had promotion "buy 1 get 1" . I can tell that it was not the best part of beef but it was ok. They cooked it on a hot rock which seemed to be cool however, it was in a room with no window, the AC was on, smoke was everywhere and we smelled just like beef. Sometimes, smoke from steak on rock was too much. We ordered 3 kinds of sauce, mushroom sauce was kind of tasteless, wine sauce with mint was salty, pepper sauce was the best one. Steak was ok, soft and juicy. We also ordered another set which we didn't like much. We thought that only steak was delicious. Steak in the set was dry , thin and a little bit hard. While rock steak was 250gr, steak in the set was 200gr and I thought it was from different kind of beef. Beef with mushroom was not tasty, and the worst part of it was mushrooms. If I could give zero stars I would. Honesty I don't know how you can get things so wrong with steak.

I ordered the T-bone steak (500g) and it was probably the fattest, least seasoned and most incorrectly cooked piece of meat I've ever consumed (it was well done on the edges and blue in the middle.

I think if I had ripped a chunk of flesh directly from a cow it would've tasted better.

Let me talk about the 'sides'... Weird sort of mashed potato, a top half of the carrot with the greens still on and unpeeled, and some tasteless mushrooms. The extra side of fries were undercooked and had no seasoning either.

It is really nice restaurant. They are very kind and friendly. The food was really great, especially steak, it is quite expensive though. The food is valuable enough. Spaghetti is also very tasteful.
