Meeting friends at this very unusual coffee place in district 7.
What's Good about it? ✅Spacious place with good airflow (needs proper ventilation for this fish farm😁). Thousands of Koi fishes in the water that surrounds the seating areas. ✅Service was quick and lots to choose from their menu. Including buying feed for the kids to feed the fish with. ✅ Coconut coffee was actually very good. The fried rice was okay too.
The Bad stuff? ❌ No appetizers were served at brunch so kids couldn't get french fries (very odd). ❌ Ice coffee that my friends had were mediocre. They said it was comparable to street coffee. ❌ Coffee prices were 3 times higher than street coffee though 😂
Anything Ugly to report? 📛 The Koi fish will splash aggressively when feed is given. Expect to get some smelly fish water sprayed on your hands or body part near the water. 📛 Not entirely kid friendly (kids menus anyone???). Other than the fish, the worker's facial reactions to the kids feeding the fish was more like contempt than joyful. Rather strange since there were many family with kids there.
Summary: Would I go back? No, not really worth it. I might as well just have an aquarium with Koi fishes at home and make my own coffee. There's really nothing super special to bring you back here other than the Koi fishes. The staff didn't have a friendly vibe like staffs at Walya Coffee (D7). Might be better to go to Walya or Trung Nguyen Coffee where the coffee is much better...
Read moreThe cafe was well decorated and very beautiful. The drinks weren’t worth it, I had to ask several times for more syrup in my drink because it had no taste. The fishes were acting really weird, I don’t think they get fed and taken care of enough. It was heart breaking to feed them, they were all fighting over the food and jumping over the water (which is not how koi’s should behave).
Me and the kids also tried the claw machine, which I have to warn, is a scam. We played the claw machine 5 times. Every one of the games we played, we were able to catch a plushie every single time, but the claw dropped it immediately (on purpose).
The lights on the toilet were flickering, the toilet doors were rusty, and it was...
Read moreInitially I have been recommended to visit this place for its beautiful environment as seen on social media. However, once arrived I was astounded to how the Koi fishes were reacting towards seeing people. To confirm if the fishes were actually in starvation, we fed them fish food and the fishes were fighting over it. Even with a hand hovering over, a school of Kois would formed immediately, thinking we are to feed them. Truly doubt if the fishes are well taken care of or simply used to attract customers and with lack of consideration towards the animals’ wellbeing. Never have I ever seen such reaction of Koi fishes towards human interaction. Please think again before considering visiting such...
