My new fave lunch eatery and i can't get enough of the noodles here! A hearty place with hearty food that gives me lots of nostalgias of times i was in Singapore. The space is quite spacious, big tables, comfy seats, not much seating choices since tables are limited in quantity. They offer a huge range of noodles, entres and drinks in affordable prices.
Food: had the char kway teow with cockles, lots of toppings. Wish they were more generous with the cockles though. But everything tasted fresh. The Lor Mee really grew on me by the 2nd slurp and the broth was simple but effective. Fried wontons was nice. So was kaya toasts (absolutely coming back for that). Their Vietnamese coffee was surprisingly good, too. Though the beans was on the sour spectrum which i didn't enjoy much.
Service: fast and helpful, also very polite. Could be more attentive though, imo.
Parking: small parking space. Tends to be packed...

Their food are a fairly good attempt of recreating the taste of Penang with what available locally sourced ingredient as substitute. Understandably ingredient substitution may not produce the desired result. Hope they keep improving in both their ingredient sourcing and also cooking technique. For the verdict. Char Kuey Tiou was slightly below average, would have tasted better if they used the original silky Kuey tiou noodles (not available here) and cook using higher heat (wok hie). Kaya toast could use a more creamier kaya texture and finally Lor Mee was what I think they got right but could be refined further. I do hope they keep improving and stay in business for all the people that crave...

Yes, I recommend this place, particularly for the Penang Prawn Mee (aka Hokkien Mee) which is the best I’ve tasted in a few years. But I had some minor disappointments... the Prawn Mee soup wasn’t as rich/thick as a good Penang one, and the soup that came with the Dry Wantan Mee tasted like Thai noodle soup, maybe misbalancing of ajinomoto. I also felt the Wantan Mee noodle needed to be cooked a little more for better texture. Overall, a...
