The Coffee Ship — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Very relaxing place to sip a coffee or juice. The scenery is very pleasant if you can get past the littering (that is everywhere in HCMC, unfortunately). The boat itself has at least 3 levels and due to its age, can be considered a bit dirty. I don't mind and apart from that, they make sure to clean the floors regularly.

I went during the late afternoon, which was perfect, and got to see a couple of boats pass by. The entrance is a narrow opening between two chain fences. The very kind guard showed me the place because I really thought it was closed that day.

I'll be sure to come again the next time...

Really cool spot to stop off for a smoothie or coffee. Was very disappointed to see that all their smoothies come in extremely wasteful plastic cups with large plastic lid and plastic straw, even when you order in. Seems especially bad since the riverside near the coffee shop is so badly litered with plastic waste. Smoothies should be served in glass cups to cut down on unnecessary single use plastic. This is a good place to disappear to if you’re looking for a quiet, off the beaten path kinda coffee shop. The boat is good for photographers with its on the water perspective and for drone shots launched from the stern. The owners are nice people and their smoothies are yummy.
