Not every restaurant was open at Vinpearl Harbor. Most places had a similar menu but Mèo Kitchen had different food options, so we decided to dine here. Very nice restaurant inside and the A/C was blasted high. Got a nice view of the water. Bathroom was ok, but make sure there's toilet paper. Downside is there was no paper towel or hand dryer available. Service was relatively slow for a pretty empty restaurant. Ordered: trung chien thit bam (fried egg with minced pork and green onions), cha gio (4 eggrolls), rau muong xao toi (water spinach & garlic), and com chien bo xao (beef fried rice) Fried egg was average. Good snack but not that much minced meat (could be more savory). Also soy sauce wasn't enough Eggrolls weren't too bad. The outer layer was crispy and light. The meat filling however could be better; felt like the meat was missing something seasoning wise. Water spinach was also ok; I've had better. The beef in the fried rice was once of the worst I've had in a while. Too tough to chew; had to put it to the side. The menu mentioned a chicken skewer with the dish but there was none when our meal got brought to the table. Ok to try once for the experience but not a...
Read moreReply. They definitely were NOT first, nice try trying to clean up. The first one was a bigger korean. The table that sat down after us was a skinny guy with glasses i know because the first guy bumped into me to cut me. Again I see too much of this happening where locals and Vietnamese tourist are placed behind koreans. If more Vietnamese people would speak up you will see your fault in the mistreatment. And your reviews will start to go lower. Even your waitress had no response on where our order was they knew it wasn't coming.
Definitely disappointing as a fellow Vietnamese being treated like second rate trash. They only tailor and serve koreans. We got in then bunch of koreans cut they let them sit. Told us no table. After few minutes a table suddenly came available. We sat down ordered. A big party just left. They just cleaned it and a new group of koreans came sat down and ordered. They brought out the korean's food and they all started serving them and they ate. When we called them over to ask where our food was the girls seemed to know they we didnt get our food done. As the samw thing we ordered went to the big korean table that came after us. So we got...
Read moreA very pleasant surprise. I was looking for a decent local restaurant that is not overpriced while still having good quality food. A difficult task on the island where google map scores are fake/ farmed. The highlight was the Banh Xeo but everything we tried was great. Also could recommend the beef fried rice. For your order you will use a paper list marking your choice. We messed it up a little but everything turned out well. It helps as no-one was speaking English. For 6 person, meal and drinks we payed aprox 1.2 M dongs. The atmosphere is lively, simple and friendly. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for good local food, at decent prices and...
