I was invited to a meeting over dinner here, where we were given a private room on the second floor. In it was a brick wall design and shelf of old and opened wine bottles. As I was a guest, I didn't actually order anything myself but was presented with many dishes comprised of goat prepared in different ways. All but one tough, chewy roast was tender and subtle. For some reason their cháo had bones in it. I particularly liked in thinly sliced goat with lemon grass, which was meant to be made into summer rolls, gỏi cuốn.
For a while we were ladeling each other some kind of alcohol sourced from small plastic bottles, and then from a wine bottle with a plastic cork. The presentation may not give a good impression, but they were sweet and smooth. A man playing the acoustic guitar came in to cover some songs; I wouldn't be surprised if singing is common in this venue as they have a large screen on the first floor fit for karaoke. This restaurant offers local dishes, particularly with goat, and even music should you...
Read moreWe don’t speak any Vietnamese, but we decided to try something new while visiting! The staff were incredibly kind and patient with us. We used Google Translate to understand the menu a little—but in the end, we mostly guessed. The goat ribs and fried rice were delicious! We also tried the house goat special, which turned out to be smoked goat trotters. That was a bit outside our comfort zone, but we were still glad we tried it! One thing we didn’t understand: the waiter brought a bowl of ice to the table. We thought it was for cooling our beer, so we put the ice in our cups—but then the waiter took the cup away 😅 So we’re still not sure what the ice was actually for! Overall, it was a great experience. If you’re a tourist looking to try something local and new, we definitely...
Read moreIncredible experience. as you walk in, you can see the fresh goat being broken down, ready to be cooked or used in the kitchen. The staff are friendly. A lot of local Vietnamese people eat here. The food is delicious. And it’s not too expensive. I would highly recommend trying to go intestines. It’s something a lot of coaches don’t have in their diet, but the flavor will surprise you. They are stuffed with green beans and spices. The actual intestines are just used for the casing like a sausage. Would love to...
