Shri Beach Club Phi Quoc was an amazing place to spend our afternoons and evenings. Purchasing any food or drink allows access to comfortable loungers and beach activities including swimming and beach volleyball. The music provided great vibes while we admired the beautiful sunsets thanks to the due-west beachfront. Unfortunately, the downsides of visiting hardly make the sunset vibes worth it. Watch out for small and elusive sea jellies in the shallows, and beware when walking barefoot in the sand. This goes especially when playing on the beach volleyball court. Even after an extensive clean-up, we had multiple near misses with broken glass, fish hooks, and finally experienced the worst when a sharp piece of broken brick hidden under the sand cut my toe so badly I needed 5 stitches, as mentioned in another review. The staff was less than helpful in this situation, and we were lucky to have brought along our own first-aid kits. Additionally, the club executes highway robbery for everything except using the washroom. Bottled water, beer, and cocktails are terribly overpriced, and make sure to bring your own towel or this beach club will gouge your wallet for the privilege of using theirs. Use of kayaks and SUPs is also ridiculously expensive, especially considering how much you’re already overpaying for drinks and food.
Overall, we were hard-pressed to find a better beach to watch the sunset on the whole island. But the business practices of shri beach club could use considerable improvement to get anything more than a 2-3...

Read moreThe location of this beach is extraordinary. Facing due west, you get some of the best sunsets. I feel that this resort realizes this, and takes perhaps undue advantage. As can be expected, the drinks are well overpriced, however since the purchase of a drink gives you access to the loungers, this can be justified. Selling a 500ml bottle of water for about 40K dong however seems greedy. On top of all the expensive things, the beach doesn’t seem to get cleaned. We played beach volleyball here, and after cleaning the court for a while ourselves, during gameplay our friend stepped on a buried/broken brick and cut his toe open to the point that he needed 5 stitches. When we asked the staff member to please get us a first aid kit, he was never to be seen again. 15 minutes later, after we had bandaged our friend and prepared to take him to the hospital, when I went to pay the bill, we were offered 3 bandaids....for a cut that needed 5 stitches, jokes. Accidents happen however, but our other friend found a needle on the beach. The beach is great, but with the number of staff they have just standing around, I feel like they could clean it a little bit more. Especially when they charge such a ludicrous amount for even water. Giving 2 stars just because the location is so amazing. The service could use a few...
