BEWARE if you have MANGO or PEANUT allergy. I am only allergic to mangos but wanted to let others know to watch out for peanuts also. The shredded mango and peanuts are garnishments right in the soup, which the restaurant didn't do so prior to Covid when I used to eat there. I didn't realize the change and immediately noticed the mango when my dish was served, when I told them that I am highly allergic to mangos, they offered to pick it out for me. Many many people have no concept of cross contamination and I had to explain that it's already in the soup. So the manger explained that he couldn't resell the bowls of noodle because the hot broth was already poured in. I kindly said that I understood but I still can't eat the bowl served because I will have a severe reaction. I told him that he can either take it away and serve me 2 new bowls without mango and I will be glad to eat or else I will be forced to leave. He left the table for 5mins, while we sat with our bowls in front of us. He came back to tell me that he will allow me to return the current bowls and they will serve me 2 new bowls without mangos. My vietnamese wasn't the best, but I can understand body and facial language and it wasn't friendly. I guess I should have just walked out but I am not one to cause a scene. I am sure the cook didn't change out her gloves to make my dish because again, cross contamination is not something people without allgeries understands. I write this post because I used to eat here all the time prior to Covid (without the mango mishap), but am very disappointed on how the supervisor/manager handled the situation therefore I will never frequent this restaurant again. By all means, if you don't have a mango or peanut allergy, feel free to eat there but don't expect good service if there's an issue, this place is: eat and...
Read moreI had a bowl of rice noodle soup with fresh jellyfish, fishcake and what I think is a soft meat ball made of crab paste, not commonly seen in restaurants in Vietnam, quite good quality for VD40,000 which is a real reasonable price in Vietnam, serving size is just perfect for one person, a must try.
I also had fresh orange juice there, it is overpriced at VD30,000, but other juices are a lot cheaper there.
This place seems to have some other dishes not easily found in Vietnam. I will go back to try more.
Highly recommended for...
Read moreFood is 5 star, but the hygiene is so awful- we watched a waitress empty out someones used tea cup and then she just put it back on the tray on the table for the next customers to use, so gross. We watched her then clean up our table and she did the same, emptied our cups and then put them back for next customers. Just disgusting we literally just came out of a pandemic and we just unknowingly shared a cup with who knows how many people. If they dont wash the cups chances are they dont wash a lot of...
