We were really excited to go to Eden Hauss for a birthday dinner with some friends. The staff were kind in helping us find our seats, however, that's where the good hospitality finished. After we were served our drinks we were informed that the food would take 25 minutes to come out. After 1 hour and 30 minutes, we still had not had our food (after asking multiple times). Two other groups of people had arrived at least 30 minutes after us - both groups were composed of white people. They had their food before us. The waiter informed us that the was a miscommunication with the order and he had not told the kitchen. We asked to speak to the manager and were informed that she was outside and would come in soon. After some time, they said she was actually sleeping and would be unable to rectify the mistakes. Eventually, the food arrived: my food was not cooked so I asked them to cook it (the waiter informed me that that is how they prepare the food now). I found this to be insulting - I can recognise uncooked food. When they brought the cooked food he then admitted that it was because the kitchen was in a rush. Again, we asked to speak to the manager and were told that she would arrive in 10 minutes. She never came.
Overall, this was a poor experience. The staff did not meet the expected standard and it was evident that they were serving the white guests with better care. It is inappropriate to not have a protocol for managing mistakes - perhaps they should have some training or the manager can have the courtesy of showing up. It's disappointing to be treated less favourably than white counterparts in our own country. This made for a terrible birthday experience. I hope others have...

No lies told im fresh out of a purely poor experience.
Service was ok .. honestly nothing to write home about. The ambience great, the delivery poor.
It took me over an hour to finally get the meal I ordered.. tilapia and mash.. which they came back to me and said only had hake and mash. Ok .. No issue. It's all fish.
But the hour !!!!!! How is that possible.
I started by ordering a drink.. gin and tonic. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.. but ooooooh no another 20 min to get that.. and mind you I'm on a solo dinner date. Just trying to have a nice drink and an hot meal..
I order drink 1 then order my food.. which my God my God took forever and in-between that ... a table reserved and a table miraculously taken away.
Order drink number 2 .. have an unrequited conversation with a stranger 😏 as I wait for said food and table..
Finally change order to a take away and oooh my God more time.
Order drink number 3 and decide oooh as I wait a shrimp starter wouldn't be a bad idea. And boy oh boy was it a bad idea.. it tooook 1 hour and I kid you not 1 hour to get the starter which I ended up just leaving and because of my common decency paid for because I was about done with the rubbish 😒service recieved ..

Upon entering, I was pleased with the open seating outside, providing ample airflow for my friends and me to enjoy the outdoor ambiance. However, right from the start, the waiter brought only one menu for me and my two friends, an odd occurrence. Subsequently, the drinks took an exceptionally long time to reach our table, leading to repeated requests and nearly prompting us to leave. Furthermore, the waiter took over 30 minutes to bring us the bill despite multiple inquiries. Despite my efforts to remain patient, it was disheartening to feel compelled to insist on paying the bill. Lastly, I am displeased with the imposition of a service charge, especially considering the subpar service received. The fact that the establishment was not crowded intensifies my bewilderment regarding the poor service. Additionally, the quality of the drinks was lacking and seemed hastily prepared. While it saddens me to leave a negative review, there is a genuine need for improvement in both service and overall customer experience...
