Costa Café Bulawayo Review
Costa Café in Bulawayo has a charming ambience and a lot of potential, but my experience was unfortunately let down by a few key aspects.
To start, there is no clear indication of where customers should park. Upon arrival, I was told to park outside on an uncut lawn, yet there were no signs directing customers to a designated parking area. This lack of organization can be frustrating, especially for first-time visitors.
We ordered the Full Breakfast, which turned out to be quite underwhelming. The meal lacked flavor, the bacon was dry, and instead of baked beans, we were served sugar beans—a noticeable and unexpected substitution. Additionally, the potatoes listed on the menu were missing from the plate. While the staff did try to compensate by providing French fries, this only came after we were already halfway through the meal.
On a positive note, the service was decent, and the staff were polite and responsive. The ambience is great, offering a relaxed and pleasant setting. One exceptional highlight was their juices with crushed ice, which were perfectly made—refreshing and well-balanced in flavor.
However, overall, the food quality does not match the potential of the space. With better attention to detail in both meal preparation and overall customer experience, Costa Café could be a standout spot in Bulawayo.
