Cafe Nush Avondale — Restaurant in Harare

Was quite disappointed considering the hype around the place. first glance it looks classy, but as you look for your own seat and no one offers a table you begin to realize the service delivery. The waitron only came 2 assist a few minutes after being seated. I was not sure whether to go to the counter to order like your Nandos situation or someone would come the help. I ordered a chocolate milkshake which had no signature, just the normal Milo product with none full cream milk (I was not asked the type of milk) which was diluted with tap water. the order took 30 minutes to come through, which was a burger and fries. kudos to the fries which were fresh, but the gherkins in the burger were stale. did not finish the burger as the patty was dry too. no offer on a second drink after I had finished my initial drink. You can go for the hype, but for a meal it's not the ideal place to go. toilets were not in a clean state and plumbing is all over. For the nice lights and fancy desks, hygiene is not good nor is the customer service. If you have been elsewhere, you will know the difference in service. The fresh flower on the table is good. I hope they are pollen free to accommodate potentially...

I had a hangover breakfast here and I’m happy to say that it got the job done. I ordered the fully loaded breakfast - I think. I asked them not to include the mushrooms for my dish though because I don’t like them. I would have appreciated an offer to substitute the mushrooms with something else but that didn’t happen lol. That aside, the food was very tasty and I loved how fresh the bread was. I didn’t like the potato thingy, it was tasteless.

I wasn’t too impressed with the service as well. The waiter asked me if I wanted some butter for my bread and I said yes. I never got the butter. I ordered green tea with my meal and I got rooibos tea halfway through my meal. Idk, maybe it was the waiters first day but yeah I think my experience could have been better and if I had gotten what...

One of the best places I had a meal at in Zimbabwe! The cafe is clean and stylish and all the dishes seem really delicious!

The menu had many options, from steaks to pizza and pasta. I found the prices quite reasonable for the quality as well.

The stir fry I had was just right, from seasoning to the crispiness of the veggies. The mashed potatoes that came as side were soft and counterbalanced it very well. As for the pizza, the basis and the tops were great. Very fluffy and crunchy at the same time, with the right amount of cheese and chicken. Finally, the juice I ordered was strawberry lemonade and it wasn't too sweet, very fresh and natural, with real strawberries and a pinch of sour from both fruits!
