I am so disappointed in Ocean Basket! Decided to try the new restaurant on a Saturday night, it was not too busy either and I sat upstairs. The first waitress was pleasant, she gave me the menu. 20 minutes later I looked out for her and she comes over and took me drink order, I request a house white wine and she informs me that there was no alcohol being served at the moment, so I asked for a bottled water and was excited to order my food as Ocean Basket has been a favourite growing up. Another waitress comes over right after and asks if Iād like to order, I let her know Iāve been served, however waiting for a friend to join me so we can order together. She was the server for the rest on the evening. Sweet, however absent-minded, had poor customer skills and just did not explain the menu well, but she tried. My friend arrives, I order prawns & mussels combo and bite of the ocean for them. My meal arrived cold, and I understand it became busy so it may have waited on the side and I hate wasting, so didnāt want to make a complaint. The mussels were not cooked and cleaned properly, the prawns and chips were underdone, the sauce was sour and along with the noise from the next door, it was just utterly an awful experience! Never thought I would ever expect such a poor quality of standard from Ocean Basket. I even felt extremely sick after a few bite. Spoke to the manager to whom I explained that the food was undercooked and cold and so was my friendās and I offered to pay for half the bill as he ate all his food, however mentioned he had a sick feeling after he did too. She apologised but when it came the bill, there was no duty of care, I paid half the bill, we were not happy and they just didnāt care! This made me incredibly sad, as I usually would swear by Ocean Basket, but I will never go back again! Disgusting...

I asked for a halloumi starter and was told it wasn't available, my wife's starter of squid heads was overcooked and arrived when she was half way through her main course. My fish and chips was nicely cooked while my wife's fish was overcooked. The noise from Rocomamas was overwhelming, not something we expect from an Ocean Basket. We were hoping for a new restaurant to have a casual meal on the weekend allas this was not to be, we won't be back,...
