We went there after visiting one of the beaches outside Ksamil where all spaces were already taken (we arrived at 13:30). We fist checked the the neighbouring Lori beach, but most of umbrellas there were the straw hut permanently fixed type, se we decided to come to Paradise. After reading some horror stories on both Google Map descriptions, we were positively surprised. The beach offers good plenty parking spaces, there appears to be choice of a restaurant and bar on site (we didn't use) and plenty of sunbeds. Nice music with beach vibes went on in the background, but nothing too overpowering . Most of sunbeds were the fabric types which you can put down if you want to sun bathe not sit in a half-shade. The sunbeds are aluminium frame with fabric (which we prefer) rather than the wooden type with soft mattress. We also saw few people lying on their own towels towards the end of the beach, but we are not sure if this is possible to not pay for the sunbed and still use the beach. Majority of places in Ksamil and Saranda would ask you to leave if you don't pay for the sunbed. We were there until around 16:30 and it appeared many spaces were...
Read moreIf you're reading this, please read in full. Visited in mid May. Ordered 2 beers and a coffee by the bar and had a very pleasant conversation with the barman, who was a bit reserved at first, but opened up with time. The atmosphere was relaxed with just few laungers taken, so had front row seats to the beach. Unfortunately beach had 2 poops right in front of the loungers and when we alerted the person who was charging for loungers to that, he just brushed it off with a "it is what it is attitude". At 1500 Lek or €15 for an umbrella with 2 loungers, someone should explain business sustainability/continuity to this person. They seem to think they're selling loungers with umbrella only, but the clients is actually paying for longer with umbrella BY THE BEACH! If they don't understand that, soon thete will be no clients. Management, please...
Read moreAt the beach entrance, there's this one guy who behaves like a total jerk. He's somehow learned the word "reservation" and keeps repeating it nonstop: "Do you have a reservation? 15 euros." We asked if we could first take a look at the beach before paying the 15 euros, but he flat out refused and played his reservation spiel on a loop.
We walked a bit further and found another beach where a polite young man showed us around, pointed out all the spots, and only charged us 10 euros for a pair of loungers and an umbrella. We snagged a prime spot right on the shoreline.
The staff at Paradise Beach is an absolute disgrace to Albania, single-handedly tarnishing the entire tourism industry in this...
