Sarandë is a coastal town in Albania. Geographically, it is situated on an open sea gulf of the Ionian Sea in the central Mediterranean, about 14 km (8.7 mi) east of the northern end of the island of Corfu. Stretching along the Albanian Ionian Sea Coast, Saranda typically has over 300 sunny days a year. The city is known for its blue deep waters of the Mediterranean. Near Sarandë are the remains of the ancient city of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In recent years, Saranda has seen a steady increase in tourists, many of them coming by cruise ship. Visitors are attracted by the natural environment of Saranda and its archaeological sites. Un incubo, soprattutto ad Agosto. Iniziamo col dire che la città é al collasso, disorganizzata per tutte le macchine che ci sono e senza strade che ne supportino la capienza. Il mare niente di che a livello di colori e trasparenza, pieno di moto d'acqua e altri aggeggi che partono di continuo dal porto e dai lidi e chi vuol fare il bagno risente delle continue onde in movimento. I lidi hanno gli ombrelloni tutti appiccicati che arrivano dentro l'acqua per prendere più clienti e fare più soldi. Non capiscono che così di soldi non ne vedono proprio il prossimo anno. Dicono che da Saranda a ksamil sia bellissimo ma non é vero. Come colori meglio Dhermi ma anche lì un delirio (noi abbiamo fatto tutto il giro della costa). A Saranda per fare 3-6 km km ci vogliono 50 minuti e non esagero. Mettersi in macchina é impossibile. La sera per cenare occorre fare file di ore. Scordatevi di andare a ksamil, ci vuole almeno un ora e 15 per fare 15 km e li é tutto strapieno in agosto, ma non come in Italia, peggio che mai. Non si può proprio salire in macchina, si resta imbudellati. Le altre spiaggette sul litorale per andare verso ksamil sono state tutte privatizzate, gli ombrelloni sono ovunque e uno appiccicato all'altro per cui non ci sono spazi neanche per spostare il lettino. Le altre sono sotto cantiere. Tutto quello che vedete dai social é vecchio, andate a leggere le recensioni recenti, questo paese in pochi anni é stato cementificato e trasformato. Saranda é piena di costruzioni e palazzi altissimi ma non hanno pensato ai parcheggi quindi se prenotate scegliete un posto con parcheggio, ma io vi consiglio di non prenotare e restare in Italia. Per noi e tutto i turisti incontrati saranda e ksamil sono stati un incubo. Noi da Saranda non siamo riusciti proprio adnarrivare a Ksamil per le code che c'erano. Scegliere la spiaggia era uno stress senza fine, c'erano persone disperate che da Ksamil venivano verso Saranda per cercare un posto più tranquillo. Economicamente poco meno dell'Italia ma roba di 2-3 euro. Abbiamo trovato Lettino e ombrellone a 20 euro all'haeven beach, l'unica spiaggia un po' più tranquilla, raggiungibile e con ombrelloni equo distanziati l'uno dall'altro, ovviamente un po' arrangiata ma meglio di niente era. Sconsigliamo fortemente l'Albania che ha voluto fare il passo più lungo della gamba ma non ha i servizi necessari cui...
