Must visit place. Not only a local museum but great observation deck from where you can observe Luanda. Amazing view on the bay. Enjoyed walking around and see all these guns and military equipment. Place is almost always empty. I met only few guys browsing around. Entrance fee is next to nothing. 100 kwanza which is less that 25 cents. Guys, you can do entrance fee a 1000 kwanza easily, at least for the foreigners. And it would still be very affordable price. Sunbed at the privet beach cost 1500. Anyway, highly recommend! For those who doesn’t like museums, trust me, the view from the fort is...

I will recommend the place because the interesting for understanding more about Angola and him culture. Since was discovered Angola had different periods in his history to build the current situation in the country. In the museum you will found the important information from the colonisation till Agostinho Neto all about the Internal war and a beautiful views to the city. To arrive you will need a car o walking depending from where you come. I recommend to come with a bottle of water because doesn't have a coffeeshop. The price to come into is cheaper and the...

The fortress is a great point of interest in Luanda. I recommend to visit the fortress in the beginning of your stay at Luanda. From here you have a great 360° view. The fortress itself is great and very clean. It reminded me on Lisbon or Porto. When I have visited the location, there were no other tourists. There's no café, but there are public toilets. The entrance fee is very reasonable in comparison to other parts of Luanda. I've walked all the way from the waterfront to the fortress. It is a nice walk, I can really...

Must go to learn about key moment of Angola’s history, such as colonial era, Independence War and Civil War. It is beautiful fort, with working bathrooms, and some conference rooms in the inside. The local guide was very knowledgeable, however, he could not speak English so we needed to bring our own translator. Bags are not allowed inside, so we kept them inside the security guards rooms during the tour.
