Dining at Restaurante Convés in Luanda was an absolutely fantastic experience that I wholeheartedly recommend. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed into an elegant, beautifully decorated space with a stunning view over the bay – a perfect setting for a relaxing and memorable meal.
The service was impeccable: attentive, fast, and always delivered with a warm smile. The team showed great professionalism and genuine care for the comfort of every guest, which I truly value.
The food, however, was the highlight of the evening. Every dish is prepared with precision, using fresh ingredients and presented with the finesse of fine dining. I had the grilled octopus, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever tasted – tender, flavorful, and perfectly paired with its accompaniments. For dessert, I chose the chocolate fondant with artisan ice cream, and it was absolutely divine.
The wine list is well curated, offering a good selection of both national and international options, and the staff gave excellent recommendations. I was also pleasantly surprised by the balance between quality and pricing, especially considering the overall high standard of service and cuisine.
Convés is undoubtedly a place worth returning to. It’s a space that combines style, exceptional food, and outstanding service. I left feeling satisfied, inspired, and already looking forward to...

When you come in, you’ll see a window full of sweets, reserve yours already if you would like to have because by the time we finished our meal and the one I wanted (Ginguba cake) was...
Read moreMy first experience... was sorely disappointed. I ordered the costeletas de porco with a side of fries and two dry and tasteless pork chops arrived with some withered looking fries unaccompanied by any sauce. I had to ask for ketchup 3 times before I was attended to, and by the time it came I had to leave. The waitress was totally unconcerned about our lack of appetite or inability to eat the food. She merely asked if I was done with my barely touched plate, and whisked off my plate when I said yes. The gindugo they brought for us had barely 3 spots of gindungo in a pool of oil... Poor food, poor service. Two stars because my companion said his steak...
