Bodega Corazón Del Sol — Attraction in Mendoza

Corazon Del Sol through its owner Dr. Revana a cardiologist in the U.S. has pioneered the production of Rnone wines in Uco Valley, Mendoza, beginning in 2008. We tasted a number of these varietals including Grenache, viognier, and both red and white rhone blends. All were excellent. The rocky terra, warm days and cool nights are similar to terroir in the Rhone Valley. The ability to control supply of water through irrigation is another advantage in Mendoza. Thanks to the genius and foresight of Dr. Revana we have the first, but surely not that of these Rhone style wines from Mendoza. Staff leading us through the tasting was very engaging...

Esta pequeña bodega se encuentra ubicada en Valle de Uco, una de las zonas más prestigiosas de Mendoza para la plantación de viñedos y elaboración de vinos premium. Corazón del Sol is the third winery owned by Dr. Revana. It has two sisters, Revana Family Vineyards at Napa CA and Alexana Winery in Oregon. It is a small boutique winery located at Uco Valley, one of the most prestigious areas in Mendoza for grape growing and wine making. It is part of the Winemakers Village at The Vines of Mendoza. The wines are exceptional. They produce a GSM and a Granache Rosé that are pretty unique. Besides the Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc, and their blends that are excellent as well. They offer free shipping for the wines in the USA, which is a very convenient option. Carolina and Tom, the hosts, are both very knowledgeable with large experience in the wine business.
