We arrived late and tired at Super Uco having cycled from our hotel (not a great idea with the rocky roads), but everything went uphill starting with the warm reception and informative tour by Lourdes.

What really stood out for me apart from the hospitality was the wine tasting part of the tour, and even if you’re not into wines (i am one), you’re in for a surprise on how you can taste the impact that the terroir has on the wines (shall not spoil it any further). It also includes the tasting of their flagship wine - the Genitori, so if that is important for you, this checks that box too.

We enjoyed the experience so much that we opted to have the asado lunch after, and boy did it satisfy my cravings for a traditional Argentinian asado! It’s such an amazing experience pairing the wines with a couple of empandas, chorizo, morcilla, a proper ojo de bife (ribeye), and a flan. Just keep in mind that the portion can be a little huge for a typical Asian.

Ultimately every single detail that i look out for in a winery tour has been met - beautiful wines, amazing host,...

Our tour and tasting at SuperUco was perfect. Barbara gave us a tour of the vineyard, where they age the wines, told us the story of the 4 brothers and their projects, and we concluded with a tasting in a beautiful table outside. Peaceful, beautifully set. It was a great contrast/balance of seeing how a smaller vineyard makes and sells wine. Thank you SuperUco, thank you Barbara.

Here is our entire 4 day itinerary in chronological order in case it helps you pick for your trip. I will also leave reviews in those places: Fogon Lagarde - lunch Azafran - dinner SuperUco - tasting Casa de Uco - Private Asado Abrasado - dinner Susana Balbo - experiencia Crios asado Catena Zapata - blending games tasting and tour Pizza Bigalia - dinner Durigutti - Tasting and...

We really enjoyed our tour of SuperUco.

We were the only two on the tour but it was a busy place as the Restaurant Tegui from BA was in the process of setting up their pop-up for the 40 days of harvest. It was a lot of fun to see all the action. We would have loved to go for dinner but we just ran out of time!

Leo was an outstanding tour guide. We learned so much from him about both the organic and bio-dynamic process of wine making. He was also very eager to take questions and talk about the history of the winery. He made us feel very welcome!

The tasting was excellent. We tried 5 wines leading up to their top level wine. Everything we tried was very good. We opted to purchase the 2013 SuperUco which we enjoyed with our dinner...
