And from there, we can observe one of the most impressive views of Nahuel Huapi National Park and the planet. This is stated by the National Geographic photographers who have been here. The ascent to this hill can be done by walking or by means of chairlifts. The view from the summit is spectacular, and many people agree that it is one of the best in Bariloche and even in the world. There is also a confectionery where you can enjoy cooking and homemade pastries.

For those who want to walk for a while, climbing on foot is a good option. The hill is not very high (the summit is about 1050 meters above sea level) and although it climbs permanently, it is at the summit in about 30 minutes. You can see the Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno lakes, El Trébol lagoon, San Pedro and Llao Llao peninsulas, Victoria Island, Otto, López, Goye, Bellavista, Catedral, Capilla hills; the Llao Llao hotel, the groves of Colonia Suiza, among other points of interest. The skies, the forests, and especially the whole of nature, the total vision of this wonderful place that is the Andean Patagonia, is what touches the most.

To get to Cerro Campanario, from the center of San Carlos de Bariloche, take Av. Bustillo until kilometer 17.5, where there is access to the hill and parking.

The most incredible views. Absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a trip. Also the cafe at the top does great hot chocolate.

Many tour agents include it in their itineraries or you can make your own way here. We caught the number 20 bus from outside Design Suites hotel in the direction away from town (the orange post is the bus stop). Make sure you have a bus card already - we brought one from the hotel. Ask the driver to let you know when go get to the chairlift stop and they’ll shout it out. The bus leaves about...

This place has one of the most amazing 360 views that you'll find around Bariloche. Expect a long line to get up the chairlift, and go get the tickets before actually getting into the line. If you don't mind hiking you can go up through a trail that you can access right to the chairlift station, difficulty is low and is not very long, you may even get to the top faster than waiting in line and then taking the chairlift. There's only one place to grab something basic to eat or drink once you are up...

Beautiful Peak with stunning views. In my opinion the most beautiful views of Bariloche. You can either walk up (takes about 40min) or take the lift. The walk is not especially nice. When I went, the lift cost 2200ARS, about 7USD at the time. On the top, there is a place to buy some snacks and there are taps to refill your water bottle. You can visit Cerro Campanario in about 2h in total and can combine your visit with parts of Circuito Chico, Colonia Suiza, or Playa con Viento, for example.

We took the public bus to the bottom of the hill and hiked up the mountain to save the small amount of money but the chairlift is there for those not willing/able to hike. The views at the height of the mountain are absolutely stunning. The views are breath taking. The only think I recommend is getting here early so you can spend enough time relaxing with this beautiful view. We didn't go to the cafe or spend money at the restaurant.

The ride up is probably around 5 to 10 minutes, probably less. The way up is fine, not much to see, but the way down has some breathtaking views. Once up top, you have a historic building with a little cafe, and stairs up to a nice viewpoint with some stunning landscape. On the other side, you can walk through some dirt roads to another viewpoint which overlooks the other side of the horizon. 500 pesos per person to go up and down
