The Village Indoor Skatepark is one of those places in Brisbane that offers so much in a warehouse environment. The online process of choosing either a morning session or afternoon session (2hrs/session) was easy and effective. Remember to complete the Forms that is inclusive of the Waiver. Upon arrival, the staff were helpful, relaxed and eager to make sure you were welcomed. The warehouse is clean and has a good vibe about it. There is a shop that is part of the entrance that has a great selection of Bikes and Scooters for sale and service.
The actual indoor park itself is filled with an array of jumps and bowl all made to challenge even the most expert rider. You can tell the staff take pride in their park as it's well maintained. There is a smaller outside park area for those that want to chill or practice before heading inside. There is a viewing area that can be accessed by walking up a set of stairs that looks over the whole inside complex. The toilets are clean (unsure of Disabled toilets). There seems to be a place where hot foods are served, but for my experience, it wasn't open or available at the time? So if you are after a different Skatepark experience then I would recommend this place that is snuggly placed in the suburb of Coopers Plains. Thanks for having us, will definitely be back for another fun...
Read moreI have waited and waited to write this review to see if I would get any communication from the staff here over an incident that Happened during one of their scooter schools. I sent an email and x2 DM's via Instagram and have not had a reply. I paid $80 for my son to attend scooter school, so he could sharpen up his skills. He was terribly bullied by some of the kids there, they told him he sucked and that he was useless, one of them also told him to get out of their way and pushed him off the top of the ramp. My son was too scared to speak up and tell someone, Because these kids wouldn't leave him alone. His tail bone was so badly bruised after he was pushed, that he could barely walk for 2 days. I don't understand if it's a scooter school, then why were these kids here that obviously thought they were better than everyone? I thought you go there to learn?! We used to frequently come to the village, but unfortunately we won't...
Read moreToday was the first day we have been here - we r from the Northside of Brisbane and having trouble trying to find something like this for my 7yr old. Very pleased with today - hence the 5stars- but if one thing was a negative- we were @ the under 10 session and there was one kid who was clearly advanced then the other kids - his parent : guardian had told the other kids to stop moving / riding so her son could do the tricks in the whole course . While very impressive- my son and others spent around 15mins or so not moving because of this kid- now I get it - she may have been looking out for the other kids getting hit / injured but she spoke to my son so Rudely - and so he was hesitant to even attempt to go fwd when she said it was clear .. I saw her speak to another child saying open your eyes ….. this was the only negative in what was a fabulous morning
Can’t wait till next week...
