I ordered some cheese from DelissArtisan for a special occasion, our first holiday since the birth of our baby. I placed the order on a Thursday, expecting it would be shipped the following Monday (since their policy states they only ship on Mondays and Tuesdays). Ordering earlier in the week, I reasonably assumed it would be dispatched on Monday. However, it wasnât clear exactly when during that window it would go out, and my order wasnât dispatched until Tuesday. Australia Post showed an estimated delivery of Friday, which meant we would already be away, so I had to delay our departure just to collect the package when it arrived on Thursday.
One of the cheeses (St Nectaire) was also sent in a smaller portion than what I paid for, without checking with me first. While a partial refund was processed, I would have appreciated being consulted before the order was shipped. Ideally, stock levels should be accurately reflected online or, at the very least, customers should be informed prior to dispatch if thereâs a shortfall. Itâs a basic part of good customer service.
When I reached out with polite feedback, I received a surprisingly defensive and dismissive reply. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience, the message placed the responsibility back on me for not communicating a "deadline" and even said I was overreacting. Telling a new mother sheâs overreacting, when sheâs simply trying to plan something joyful, is not only unprofessional, itâs patronising.
I genuinely wanted to support a small business and was excited to try their products, but I found the way my concerns were handled quite disappointing. The cheese may be lovely, but the customer service left a very poor impression - and that matters...
Read moreI am used to criticise harshly but those guys ; TOP NOTCH ! No other way to describe my experience with this company . As my name suggest , yes i m french . I have worked in bakeries , wineries, farms, alpages where i gained skills in cheese and wine making . Some of those cheese are hardly imitable and are our heritage . So expect me to be expecting when i buy something french it has to be original and made in France . In Australia i always expected low quality products from big chains , not the real stuff you see .. i ordered from those guys a few cheeses that i could remember their name and taste.. they delivered a day after my order , not only the packaging was perfect but the cheese packaging was at the level of the quality i found wrapped inside ; without even telling you of that incredibly recognisable aroma filling the room đ„° if you have grow up there , or enjoyed a distant travel in France , then those Cheeses will bring you back in a flash .. try the raclette .. yes its expensive a tad , but for this quality , i ll pay ! Have a try ,...
Read moreExceptional customer service and delicious products. The order I made was a surprise thank you gift for friends. Philippe from Deliss Artisan was extremely helpful and communicated with me throughout the process. It all became a bit complicated at my end and I had to change the delivery instructions a number of times. The store was extremely patient and delivered the package as instructed on the final occasion. Thank you so much! My friends loved all the products but the truffle pecorino and the butter were the...
