Mackenzie Reserve — Attraction in Budgewoi

Have been to Mackenzie park many times n have a picnics...It is so lovely watching the water n birdlife.. always clean amenities..with Australian wildlife painted on the amenities block..there's a largish undercover area with long tables n seats or smaller ones..table n chairs scattered around.. concrete paths..great place for elderly people..actually you see small bus loads of elderly under supervision enjoying themselves...makes u smile n know that this park is for all ages.. great kids playground.....n shops for fish n chips just a short distance...cappuccino too..bring back n enjoy by the sparkling water... ..no dogs though.....a...

This is one of those family parks in a good location,,just down from the Budgewoi shops,, lots of take away,, pizza ,,fish and chips and the local pub,,plenty of parking,, very large tables and seating undercover ,,Large enough for large functions. Out side bench seating around the area as well,, toilets available and usually clean,, wheel chair friendly,,Modern kids play ground with lots of room to run around. All this and more,, beside the lake and water way with foot bridge to a little island. Bring a fishing rod you maybe lucky and...

This is a good place for a stroll along the lake edge. There is a lot of bird life from Ducks and Parrots, to Willy Wag Tails. The people are friendly.

There is no concrete path here so after heavy rain the track can get a little muddy. Fishing is not really practical from this immediate area as the lake is very shallow for quite some distance.

It is a great place to launch from if you are a kitesurfer mainly I think in...
