I have frequented this club many times over the years and it has always been a good club to visit. Their food has always been outstanding. However since the Mounty group have come into the picture their customer service practices at this venue are no longer up to par. I had recently lodged a complaint to the manager about music being played over the bar area and how it was interfering with the ability to communicate effectively when ordering. His response was that the music had nothing to do with it and continued to reply in a manner of being defensive rather than problem solving. By any stretch of the imagination, placing music between you and a customers ability to communicate effectively is not putting customers first nor understanding how customer service works. So as for the CEO of the Halekulani Bowling Club, allow me to make my position as a customer very clear. I am sure I will need to visit your venue many times in the not so distant future however, for as long as you continue to play music over your bar area I will keep my wallet in my pocket and find somewhere quieter, more customer friendly to service my needs for refreshments and no funds will be channeled through your poker machines either. You clearly have no understanding of how arrogantly rude this practice is, maybe you should place yourself into a customer service course and learn about what customer service really means. People may not always complain verbally just to be brushed off, but they speak volumes if they do not return. Think about the long term effect on the bottom line of your employer. Your company may be doing well but they can always do better. That's where it is felt, in the "long term" whether you are aware of it or not. Your attitude is not inline with people friendly venues. Your job is not to be defensive, it is to see any issues that arise, then resolve them and behave in a manner that ensures the return of clientele. Create an atmosphere where people can't wait to come back, where people praise your venue and it's staff for how they are...

They now have no happy hour for the locals. The food is rather high price and now horrible Yes I’m a member and local and will endure never to give them a cent. Read moreThe Halekulani Bowling Club is our absolute go to place for a meal and relax when we are in the area. The ambience is perfect for a wind down. Nothing makes it better than the staff here, they are always so friendly and warmly welcoming.
Today, we had pumpkin and feta salad with garlic and herb bread, chicken Sun-dried tomato pesto pasta and waffles with banana, strawberries, ice-cream and chocolate sauce. It was delicious and super filling. For drinks we had lime soda, lemon lime bitters from the bar. And finished the meal with a long black and flat white. The coffees were surprisingly very good.
All in all the cool ambience, delicious food, generous hospitality, large portion sizes and reasonable prices would make it our preferred place for a family treat or a friends’ catch-up in the Central Coast.
Looking forward to our next...
