What a fantastic place to take the kids! My 8 year old and 1 year old absolutely loved it!! It's set up in the beautiful Botanical Gardens, so it's a great way to see the gardens before you go and explore them. The train conductors are all volunteers and you can truly see how much they love doing it for their community. The price is extremely reasonable for the kind of experience you get. Overall this is an absolute MUST if you find yourself in Bunderberg!! Thanks Australian Sugarcane Railway for the experience!!!

A great way to see the botanical gardens and ride on either a steam or diesel train. The day I visited the diesel train was in service and I only waited about 10mins for a ride. They seem to run on demand so a great service, especially for only $6 an adult. The train also runs through the storage shed where you can see the steam engines and works in progress. Friendly staff and a nice relaxing ride around the gardens. Recommended for train lovers.

Was just bored in the area and came across this place Nice people will let you take photos rite up near the train , very comfortable ride but be prepared of the bird Smell !?!!also lots of things to see and do around the area like Japanese garden and massive parks also good to take the kids and family out

Our boys (2 and 4) thought this was great. The price at time of posting was $5 per adult and $2 for school aged children so we thought that was good value. There was a little wait to get on the train as the gardens was busy and it was about a 15-20 min ride.

Learnt a lot about the different engines , thanks to the very knowledgeable and friendly staff . Grounds of the botanical gardens lovely to see . Although raining on the after we went the experience was worth while . Highly recommend to visit .

We had a large group for our family holiday and had Stephen and Keith at the station (sorry didn't catch the other gentlemans names) they all had a wealth of knowledge and were extremely friendly. Would highly recommend! 5 star! 👍
