A Hidden Gem in Bundaberg: Oodies Café Oodies Café is truly a standout destination in Bundaberg, blending delicious food with a quirky and artistic ambiance. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by its unique and creative interior. The décor is a feast for the eyes, with spoons and vibrant artwork adorning the space, making it feel cozy, inviting, and one-of-a-kind. It’s the perfect spot for those who appreciate a café with character. Now, onto the food! I was blown away by their menu, which delivers both creativity and flavor. I tried the Jaffle with savory mince, and it was the perfect comfort food—hearty, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The Breky Melt was another highlight, a harmonious combination of chorizo, halloumi, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and grilled cheese, all served on fresh Turkish bread. Adding a hash brown and a perfectly poached egg elevated this dish to something truly special. Every bite was a delightful mix of textures and flavors that left me craving more. The only downside to the meal was the undercooked chips, which was a minor letdown in an otherwise exceptional dining experience. However, the quality of the other dishes and the overall presentation more than made up for it. The service was another highlight—friendly, attentive, and efficient. The staff made sure everything ran smoothly, adding to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. In conclusion, Oodies Café is an absolute must-visit if you’re in Bundaberg. The food is spectacular, the atmosphere is unforgettable, and the service is top-notch. Despite the small hiccup with the chips, this café left a lasting impression, and I can’t wait to return.

My parents invited me to visit this funky little place for brunch after they told me how much they loved it so I thought let’s check it out 😃 … I am so glad I did what a fantastic place to hang out with your nears and dears for lunch and drinks and coffees etc. It felt really warm and welcoming and the place was absolutely packed with smiling faces and happy chatter throughout. I was amazed at the decor and atmosphere in general 6 stars on first impressions 🤩.. the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful and made it feel to easy to find the right place to sit we found this awesome little ‘Haacky’s Shack’ just out the back after a quick walk through then bam the table was cleared cleaned and set. Nothing was too much trouble, water delivered straight to us with menus and shortly afterwards the coffees and drinks arrived I was really surprised how fast the meals came out also considering how busy it was in there. Staff was awesome shout out to Jacob for his friendly smile and service (that prawn shirt rocked dude 🤙🏽) .. will definitely be back so much to choose from check out the menus in the photos I’ve added to this post.. thanks Opdies I’m a fan too now 😎🥰 See you next time !!

A Mixed Experience Decor and Ambiance: The decor at Oodies Cafe is undeniably intriguing. The collection of spoons adorning the walls adds a quirky touch to the space. It’s a place where cutlery becomes art, and patrons can appreciate the creativity while sipping their coffee. Unfortunately, the culinary experience doesn’t match the visual appeal. The food falls short of expectations. The portions are rather on the small side and the waiting time is too long. The Double Cheeseburger was a letdown—dry and lacking juiciness. Even the chips, which should be crispy, were disappointingly soft. On a brighter note, the coffee at Oodies Cafe manages to redeem the situation. It hits the spot. However, my enthusiasm wanes when I consider the aftermath. Both my wife and I experienced an urgent need to visit the restroom just 20 minutes after our meal. The unfortunate result? Diarrhea. Lastly, the waitress didn’t seem thrilled about her job. Her lack of enthusiasm was palpable, and it affected the overall dining experience. In summary, Oodies Cafe offers an interesting ambiance but falters in terms of food quality and service. Proceed with caution, especially if you have sensitive stomachs.

I’ve been here on three separate occasions before leaving this review. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed the first time, nor the third.

the atmosphere and décor are lovely. From the tables and spoon décor to the wall displays and plants, the vibe is inviting. And the backyard seating area is perfect and homely!

The service is mixed, every time I have been there is one lady that’s genuine and really smiley about everything, makes the whole visit worth it, then There is a couple of other staff that seemed a bit down in the dumps and like I don’t want to be there and talk very quiet.

The food, however, has been consistently disappointing, with flavours that feel underdeveloped. It would benefit from someone taste-testing who understands flavour balance. For example, every dish I’ve tried with chorizo could use something sweet to counter the saltiness, such as a drizzle or something to complement the salt. The coffee has also been quite bitter each time not really a fan.

I’m not usually picky with cafés, but after three visits, I’m not happy again, I’m yet to try the sweets they offer in the cabinet I would hope these are better than my experience thus far, & $3.50 for a babycino feels a bit steep unless it’s coming out almost the same size as a small coffee. Otherwise worth a visit you might like something that I don’t and the place is worth seeing because it...

We arrived without a booking. We were given the option of a couch in the corner that had no air. There was no ceiling fan or freestanding fan, and it was an extremely hot area of the cafe. There were available tables that were apparently reserved but throughout our time spent, a table was free and I thought they could have made an effort to juggle the seating arrangements better; as there is a wait area in a cool part of the cafe where people could sit for 5-10 min and be offered a drink and time to look over the menu. The service was particularly slow. We were not offered any water and a simple bottled juice took over 10 minutes to come out. I was given my coffee but no sugar was given and I had to get my own (same with salt and pepper). I ordered eggs on toast with a side of avocado and a granola. The granola was nice and home-made. The yoghurt was pretty average, but probably as expected with such a dish. My poached eggs were overdone and tasted of vinegar. The salt in the cellar was clumped and I had to open it to get salt out, and the pepper poured out and ruined one of my eggs and i couldn’t eat it. A very average to unpleasant experience, unfortunately. Would not be...
