Pretty disgusted to see the only reference to the original inhabitants of this land, was an A4 sheet of paper. When attendees were asked where was the history of the Dja Dja Warrung? What happened with the gold rush? They said they don't live here, they lived in Bendigo, none left here... I asked what happened and they were pretty blank on anything. I then looked up history on Google to find the women were abducted and raped, then contracted venereal disease leaving them sterile, so couldn't have any further children. Their country was dispossed, massacres nearby at Lancefield & Campaspe Plains drove them further away. All the displays were focussed on white men!
