Bowen Park is a very nice place to have a picnic/get-together. There are a couple of barbeques in excellent condition and a couple of picnic tables. The parking is right beside the picnic area - but whether this is a good point or not depends on whether you'd like to be so close to the vehicles while trying to have a relaxing day.
