Located on a picturesque peninsula, this enchanting park is home to a diverse collection of ancient exotic trees, including vibrant blooms and majestic, towering specimens. These trees provide a lush, shaded retreat and a mesmerizing display of hues that change with the seasons, offering a captivating natural spectacle. The park features several well-appointed BBQ spots, each equipped with comfortable seating and elegant shade structures, where visitors can gather and enjoy delightful al fresco meals. Additionally, there is a charming café offering a delightful array of refreshments and a bustling nursery where visitors can explore and purchase a variety of plants. Meandering along the serene shoreline, a scenic path and bikeway provide a perfect avenue for leisurely walks, invigorating jogs, and tranquil bike rides, catering to individuals and families alike. With its inviting ambiance and diverse amenities, this park is an ideal destination for creating cherished memories and fostering meaningful connections with nature and loved ones.

Weston Park in Canberra is a beautiful park with something for everyone. The playgrounds are fantastic for kids, while the lakeside offers a tranquil spot for picnics or a stroll. The park also features barbecue areas, tennis courts, and bike paths. The well-maintained gardens provide a lovely backdrop for family outings or events. The only downside is that the park can get crowded on weekends and public holidays. Overall, it's a great destination for those looking to enjoy the outdoors in Canberra.

Weston Park holds a certain charm. Like its distant cousins, Central Park's manicured lawns, Hyde Park's sprawling grandeur, or Gorky Park's post-Soviet stoicism, it offers a respite from the city's clamor. The lake's glassy surface, a mirror to the sky, is undeniably picturesque. Yet, beneath its veneer, Weston whispers a secret. The wind rustling the pines carries an unsettling murmur, and the shadows cast by the Telstra Tower feel unnaturally long. One can't shake the feeling that something lurks unseen, a hidden beast in this manicured beauty. Perhaps it's a remnant of Canberra's wild past, or a darkness yet to be unearthed. Whatever it is, it lingers, a haunting counterpoint to the park's idyllic facade. Limited ice cream options...

Weston Park in Canberra is a beautiful and relaxing place, perfect for a variety of activities. Located by Lake Burley Griffin, it offers wide open green spaces and peaceful surroundings—great for picnics with friends, casual dates, walking, or just taking photos.

I've visited many times to enjoy a picnic, go for a walk, hang out with friends, or simply soak in the views. There are walking and cycling paths, a playground for kids, and you might even spot kangaroos in the early morning or late afternoon. The park also has BBQ spots, plenty of seating areas, and clean public toilets.

A lovely spot to unwind and...
