Lovely spot for a barbecue and swim… even on Christmas Day we were able to park in 1 of the 3 disabled parking spaces which was essential for my wheelchair bound parents. There are toilets suitable for those with mobility problems and paths are mostly even and safe for wheelchairs/ walkers. There are several free gas barbecues and getting one on Christmas Day wasnt a fight like it is in many other parks in the area. We were able to take my mum in her wheelchair on the walk on the other side of the road ( able to access this via a path under the bridge) .. there are no cafes or shops nearby so bringing a picnic/ barbecue is essential!

It was raining here when we first arrived so the bugs were biting just a bit - not to worry tho! We hid under the shelters until it passed. The bbq areas are fabulous for large groups, lots of seating space. Beautiful scenery to watch the boats go past and my son was happy with the birds coming to check us out. On a brighter day, there was an area to swim and a slide - we’ll definitely come back again when the sun is out.

It was raining here when we first arrived so the bugs were biting just a bit - not to worry tho! We hid under the shelters until it passed. The bbq areas are fabulous for large groups, lots of seating space. Beautiful scenery to watch the boats go past and my son was happy with the birds coming to check us out. On a brighter day, there was an area to swim and a slide - we’ll definitely come back again when the sun is out.

We met a Extremely RUDE guy in the car parking area today. He let his UNLEASH large black dog dash to us with totally out of control!! And he has nothing apologized but he said many DIRTY/RACIST/DISRESPECTFUL words in front of us ( we are 3 girls. And one of us was scared by the unleash black dog )and even in front of 2 children!! We were trying to tell him please keep your dog on LEASH and this is not a unleash area! After he keep language abuses us he run away . This is totally unbelievable behavior in this place . Be very careful if u go to this place. Always keep your children and fur babies safe and Keep distance from...
