Phoenix Court Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

We were really looking forward to enjoying a quiet night in with delivery from Phoenix Court Chinese Restaurant in Hope Island, but unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing.

Was the food good? Sadly, we didn’t get to properly enjoy it. The food itself may have been tasty, but it arrived in a mess. The delivery bags were leaking heavily, two of the boxes were completely soaked through and destroyed and the food had spilled out inside the white plastic bags. It was unappetising, messy and not what we expected for the price and reputation of this restaurant.

Was it a pickup or delivery? This was a delivery, not a pickup and it’s clear that the packaging was not suited for transport. A more secure and leak-proof method would have made a big difference.

Room for improvement? Definitely. We would really appreciate better care in packaging, especially for sauces and liquid-heavy dishes. It’s a simple fix that could greatly improve the customer experience.

Location: Phoenix Court is located at Hope Island Central, 340 Hope Island Rd and is usually known for its traditional Chinese cuisine but unfortunately due to our experience, we cannot recommend. We did do a big order but any order should be looked after carefully and not come as the mess that it did due to how food was packaged.

First impressions matter and this one sadly missed the mark.

As a regular visitor to Phoenix Court Chinese Restaurant each week, I can confidently say that their Chicken Chow Mein with soft noodles has been consistently amazing! From the moment I place my takeaway order, the staff are always friendly and accommodating, ensuring my meal is prepared just the way I want it.

I have been a loyal customer for quite some time now, and each week, I eagerly anticipate digging into their Chicken Chow Mein. The soft noodles are always cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of chewiness and tenderness. The dish is well-balanced, with the ideal blend of flavors from the juicy chicken, fresh vegetables, and the savory sauce.

It's clear that the chef takes great care in crafting this dish, as every bite is a burst of mouth-watering flavors that leave me craving more. I highly recommend Phoenix Court Chinese Restaurant to anyone who is a fan of Chicken Chow Mein or just looking for a delicious and satisfying takeaway meal. If I could give zero I would! Flavourless and overpriced. Obviously the review system is not right.... Dined here because of its high rating and reviews but undoubtedly they write their own as there can be no other explanation. I have dined all over Asia and this is the worst by far. And heaven forbid you say anything to the manager/owner when asked if everything was ok, because then you are treated disgusting and like you are just trying to get something free or a discount, which wasn't the case. Surely I will get an unpleasant response..... Instead of improving. Update - the owner has no problem lieing and making up stories... I paid full price and we didn't eat most of the food.
