Kununurra Visitor Centre — Attraction in Kununurra

I went into the Visitor Centre on Tuesday morning (8th July) to get some ideas for my remaining time in Kununurra. I spoke to Sue (special Sue 😉) and she gave me a heap of ideas to try. So I drove out to Lake Argyle (good), then back to town to Mirima National Park to see the "mini Bungles" Did several of the possible walks there (was excellent). Wednesday I was heading for Wyndham but detoured (on Sue's recommendation) to Pentecost Crossing to see all the people starting (or finishing) their Gibb River trip. I drive a standard 2wd sedan so enjoyed seeing all the people doing the crossing...and boy, was it busy. Then onto Wyndham...the highlight here was the Five Rivers Lookout with it's spectacular views. Then to the port area to see some of it's history, then the big croc and finally the Warriu Dreamtime Statues. Last stop was at a local Cafe that Sue had marked on my map handout...great fresh food and friendly staff. An excellent couple of days...all...

We went to the Kununurra Visitor Centre to get help planning our Kimberleys holiday. We me the most helpful person Kel, Who knew everything about the region. She helped us with Wyndham, Lake Argyle, The Bungle Bungles and the Gibb River Road. She also booked a cultural tour of the Bungles with tips also on the best way to get there and where to stay. She could not be more pleasant, enthusiastic and helpful. On top of that she filled us in on her favourite coastal highlight of the West Coast and Karijini. The Centre is easy to find, light and airy and very well set up with very well...

Very disappointed service. Not really helpful with young backpacker. Got there with a VALID voucher (date wrote on it). The registration online close before I had the voucher into my hand but the website tells clearly that it is not a problem and that I just need to go to directly to the information center (screenshot in my phone of the notice as a proof). So everything is legit and follow the rule. However, out of the sudden, it is not valid anymore. No prove of that can be shown to me. Just a rude lady voice. So next time you get a promotion in your hand from that place, don't...
