What a lovely place this museum is. I thought i go for a quick look and ended up staying couple hours! Might be smallish, but its full of anything you could think of when it comes to the town and area. There is something for everyones interest, adults and kids! Staff was very welcoming and told me so many extra information. Its great to hear the storys from the original person finding the historic ornaments with all their passion and knowledge and doing the researching of the area - instead of just reading a printed sign. Thank you very much for the great afternoon. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone and will be back with more time at my...

Read moreAn absolute delight. What a gem of a place, whether you have 5 minutes or 5 hours to spare. If you like to read stuff there are reams of texts with all the local history, if you prefer to touch the artefacts the custodian Andrew positively encourages it. We got to hold an old colt 45, a shell casing and a crocodile’s skull. Videos and photos detail the building of the Ord River Diversion Dam, World War 2 goings-on and no end of local history. Loved it! (We ticked not to buy tickets in advance on this review because you pay by cash donation on the door - suggested fee $2 but more if you really...
