Saltwater Creek Park — Attraction in Long Jetty

The Saltwater Creek Park, is an inviting area with plenty of picnic tables and spaces surrounding a reasonable play area with a fanced in area for the little ones. Swings and a large climbing frame are just outside the fenced area and there is an accessible swing as well. There are covered barbecues and a small, open bmx track. Plenty of parking. The Saltwater Creek Restoration area and board walk was a nice distraction for the kids and it was an easy walk from the carpark across the bridge. The path is well constructed and makes the area accessible for all people. There is one bench to sit and relax on with an impressive view of the Tuggerah Lakes looking towards Chittaway and Tuggerah. There is limited shade however, so warm sunny days may limit the time you want to spend ont the walk. Great park for all the family. Lots of free parking, great play areas for kids of all ages. Large field for playing. Boat ramp. Long cycle path for people of all ages. Watchout for the locals who ring their bells and want topush past and give you abuse if you are in the way. Most of the locals were lovely however with plenty of smiles and good mornings. I'm very happy that they seem to update this park every now and then. Things have been broken several times, but are always fixed before I go back there with my daughter.

There isn't a lot you can do here if it's just you and one of your children, but it is still a great location, especially if you bring things for a picnic.
