Lotus Court Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in New South Wales

Came for Dinner early so no wait time for table , ordered 3 Dishes and Two Rices one Special Fried rice..One dish was Honey pepper chicken with no mention it was deep fried on the menu ,it came out and looked terrible,I asked the waitress if we could charge order and was told no ,so we accepted that and tried it ,it was the worst thing all of have ever eaten , literally no chicken and all deep fried batter swimming in oil mixed with a mild honey sauce,When the waitress came to collect our plates I said that was very unpalatable I felt it wasn't worth paying for as it was so awful,the chef came out to speak to us which was good but told me it was his special dish and everyone loves it and I was the first person to ever complain,which I found he was not taking responsibility for an unhappy customer with a valid comment which he took personally on his special dish..No mention of Deep fried and no Chicken to speak off in a terrible dish ..charged full price for a plate of inedible food after a genuine and valid complaint... Definitely won't be returning which is a shame as the rest of the food was...

I really hate to leave a negative comment as I know business is tough and as humans we all make mistakes. I rarely order chinese food but my son had a craving for honey chicken. So off I go into the restaurant and ordered takeaway. I ordered a few dishes including Honey chicken. When I got home I dished it up and went to add the sauce,my son dipped his finger in it and said" yuck that doesn't taste like honey". He was right it was lemon. I said no problem I will just call them and let them know I have received lemon ,not honey,chicken. It was quickly blamed on me for ordering the wrong thing,which I definitely did not. Im sorry to say but the busy waitress wrote the wrong order down then couldn't admit the mistake. I was told I could drive down and return the meal if it was untouched, which it wasnt as I had put it in a bowl already. What were they going to do,serve it to the next customer. Nice. Poor effort by management, would it really have been too much to offer some honey sauce so I could add it to the meal. Do not waste your time or money. As far as the other meals,I would say only...

5 of us dined in tonight and we were offered a small 5 seat table. We knew we were going to get a fair amount of dishes so, for comfortable eating we asked for one of the larger 6 seat tables with a lazy susan and we were refused. I then asked someone who looked like a manager and she also refused. We ordered 5 dishes and 2 entrees. We also had wine in an ice bucket with 2 glasses, 3 cans of drink with 3 glasses and a water bottle with 4 glasses on the table. It was honestly so uncomfortable to eat like that and we sat there for about an hour and a half and watched the 3 larger tables vacant the whole time. It was only us and 1 other couple dining in. I have never seen such terrible customer service. We thought we would try a new restaurant in the area but we will definitely...
