Buccaneer Motel - Pet Friendly — Hotel in Long Jetty

Me and my daughter stayed here on a respite for 5 days. Overall the room is comfortable and clean. The location is strategically within walking distance to the jetty hence the lake and near the beach too.

The staff are friendly. However if I can suggest that if a guest stayed for more than a night and with a baby no matter their circumstances are, I believe that the sheets be asked to be changed also the room to be cleaned. I had to buy a broom and put my garbage in the bin at the end of the other building. Also, I have to buy my own garbage bag.

The motel is along the busy highway so expect some inevitable mechanical noise. Otherwise it is quite. On another note, some guest might unreasonably inconsiderate. There was one night when room 3 and room 1 was blasting thier TV and being in room 2 we had to endure the sound but I had to knock on another room as my daughter can't sleep any longer and it was half past 1 am! Room 1 was kind enough to tone down her volume but room 3 just keep going until 3 am! I suggest should this happen again I hope there's an emergency number to call as this situation is very much unbearable and unacceptable.

The hotel management was very professional handling an incident whereby a guest made a complaint about our mini schnauzer being loud, due to their huge dog was left off leash. They come to us to ensure we have clean towels and other things that we might need.

Managing an establishment with dog friendly must be quite stressful as some of the guests dogs can be unpredictable when guests do not adhere the rules.

The room was well suited for the price we were paying for. It is clean with all basic essentials, all amenities in the hotel work perfectly.

The location is amazing, so close to dog friendly beaches and parks.

The only constructive feedback is the management of the rate. They pride themselves for being pet friendly. Suggestion is to have the rate to include pet and reduce the rate for guests with no dog. Not the other way around because it gives an impression of hidden costs. All pet friendly places where we stay always include costs of having a pet. This would avoid confusion for the guests as well as the hotel having to give...

Passing through the area on a journey south and needed a pet friendly hotel for a night that would allow our toy poodle to stay when we had no alternative but to bring her with us. Great value, clean rooms, well presented. More channels on the tv than most 5 star hotels thanks to their Foxtel arrangement. 2 Air-Cons in our room for 2 adults and 2 children that worked really well. Clean linen and bathrooms with Wifi to top it all off. I even had a message prior to arrival to advise that the office was closing early and that I was staying in room 13 and the key is under the mat. So they also broke new ground for me with my fastest check-in ever and I work in the industry. Now consider I gave the Westin Singapore 5 stars for that experience but for what this is and how they do it keeping it in perspective - 5 stars. Good Clean Value...
