This park is one of the best for toddlers and young children in primary school. It's also good for teenagers in highschool who like basketball or keeping fit with obstacles. Dog walkers would like this park as it's quite big and has drinking water bowls for them :) Lastly it's good for adults and families looking to keep fit and possibly have a bbq for whatever occasion.

I have a 2yr old toddler who enjoyed this park immensely. He is quite active for his age and his attention span is short haha He loves to play in the sandpit and it's great if you're into digging sand as it has a mechanism they can use like trucks have to dig up dirt. If you're after a sandcastle, there's water nearby from the drinking taps. The climbing forts and bars are great for the young ones as long as there's an adult to assist.

We have yet to try the bbq however will definitely organise one in summer with the family. They appear clean and functional as far as I can see from other families using them.

If you're looking for a place to work out and keep fit, or just to hang with your mates and sit down for a picnic, there's an oval with plenty of nicely cut lawn to sit down and run on. I actually purchased a kite and plastic cricket bat and ball to leave in my car so my toddler has something extra to play with when we return to Burden Park or visit other parks in Melbourne. The photos I took are from a distance this time as I didn't want to get people's faces in them and I didn't intend to write a review. I'm just in awe that we have such a cool park here as I've only found one other one in Noble Park that's worthy of a...

Burden Park is a peaceful oasis that offers a perfect blend of nature and recreation for visitors of all ages. Nestled in a quiet area, the park is spacious and well-maintained, featuring expansive grassy fields ideal for picnics, sports, or just relaxing under the trees.

One of the park’s highlights is the walking and cycling paths, which wind through the area, offering a scenic route for exercise or a leisurely stroll. There are also designated playgrounds for children, making it a great spot for families. The park's cleanliness and ample seating areas are a bonus, ensuring that it’s a pleasant experience for everyone.

For those looking to stay active, Burden Park has a park warrior obstacle course. You can even go online and time yourself and compare your time to the leader board. The park can get busy on weekends, but it never feels overcrowded due to its size. There are also picnic tables and barbecue facilities, which make it a popular spot for gatherings.

If there’s any downside, it’s that the amenities like bathrooms could be more abundant, especially during peak hours. But overall, Burden Park provides a serene escape with plenty to do, whether you're looking to unwind or break a sweat.

And if you've just enjoyed a Big Mac from the nearby McDonald's, this park is the perfect place to work off those extra calories! With its walking paths, fitness stations, and play equipment, you can easily burn off that fast food indulgence while enjoying the peaceful...

Burden Park is a great park for kids & adults.

The adventure playground is awesome, BBQ facilities are good & the open area for kicking a footy, soccer, etc.

My grandkids have had a birthday party here & I've had a BBQ with friends. I've been coming here with my kids & grandkids 4 the past 30 years.

I met one of my best friends here 28 years ago before the adventure playground was built. We are still best friends today. Our kids & grandkids are also best friends & we have a lot of great memories in this park.

I highly recommend Burden Park for BBQ's, parties & just for a visit 2 have some fun.

The Lions Club hold a 3 day festival each year in February at the park which is great family fun & also have fireworks.

McDonalds is just across the road on the cnr, so good 4 a quick bite.

Then you've got Waltzing Matilda hotel (a car wash also) on the cnr diagonal 2 McDonalds which has a great kids play area in the dining area. I've been 2 a few birthday parties here which were great.

Burden Park Lawn Bowls Club is on the cnr across from the hotel & Burden Park Tennis Club is a little further...

Even though there were some smokers there, this was a great park for families with small children because there were many of entertaining activities. as the basketball/soccer court, the BBQ area, the flying fox, and the ninja warrior course. Dogs are welcome here as well as families. I had a great experience visiting this park with my kids, and they had a great time on the playground. I would most sure bring my family or some friends to this park. Overall, I thought the setting was great, and it was safe for kids and families of all kinds with no bad guys around.

Superb park specially for the huge playground. It looks incredible with its tower castle-like and kids had heaps of fun as they wouldn't get bored with so many different spots to play. A part from the playground there's also a bowling club that seemed to be closed when we were there Saturday after 5pm, a kind of oval lawn, a small basketball and football court (2 in 1), decent public toilets and plenty of car spaces.
