Yes, it is dog friendly and always great to capture a beautiful sunset or even before it goes down a breathtaking spectacular between the sun and clouds while changing colours and shapes. Must see! At times great view across the bay at You Yang's and passing container ships including the Spirit of Tasmania. Once you get out of the car and you walk down to the beach passed the bushes, sea live and nature takes over helping to forget the constraints of everyday life. You want to leave them behind for a short while, head down to the beach and immerse yourself into the other yourself, who cherishes what can be encountered in the full beauty of marine live and gazing into the void of the horizon where there is still light, ideally energizing you for the responsibilities of yours before you are heading back into the hustle and bustle, let it be family, job or what else keeps your mind anavoidingly busy in the other...
Read moreWe love this beach and live locally. The only downside is the amount of seaweed litter, especially after a storm. I went yesterday (1/12/18) - first day of Summer - and gagged on the stench - I had to leave. It has built up to the point where it is starting to fester. No-one was with their family and dogs to the northern end. I think this is a blight on council. Clean ups are so infrequent and left long enough, the beach cannot be enjoyed. A rate payer in Kingston for over 6 years, I'm disgusted. If there was a pile of stinking rubbish in one of our parks, a clean up would be prioritised. Why not this...

This makes it perfect for off Leash dogs to run around on the beach and not be able to see the road and not try to escape. The bay is very wide, goes up to cliffs at one end and continues down to flatter areas with a surf life saving club further down. The water is very shallow, with many sand banks, so you can walk out a ways. It is very smelly though, with lots of seaweed, especially at the northern end where it all collects in a corner under the cliffs. I prefer the cleanliness of Brighton dog beach, but this works in a pinch for...
