Cute, friendly, tiny little market with a home-made, crafty feel. Honey, plants, jewellery, candles, seed bank, home grown vegies, relish, cakes, free range eggs. Nice, friendly, informative stall-holders. Great for buying newborn or homemade gifts.
Nice enough/average coffee from mobile barrista - yet, to be fair - we are coffee snobs. A terrific soup, sausage sizzle, egg and bacon roll stand run by very nice people.
This market is fun for a short visit when in the beautiful quaint town of Gembrook.
Negative/Positive: Slow Grain Sourdough bread & pastry. Will leave longer review with slowgrain.com.au people. With the exception of the delicious loaf the sweet cruffin and scrolls were days' old stale, hard, couldn't even finish them. Binned. Disappointing. Also an unprofessional pasta cheese wheel van man having an audible pity party at his lack of customers. Oh dear - we suggest you watch re-runs of River Cottage. The way to sell is give out free samples. Your annoying whine only ruined the atmosphere outside.
Don't let these couple of unprofessionals put you off if you want to admire the work of talented people at this cute...

Good coffee but not nearly as big and busy as most others in the hills/Cardinia Shire. Great playground and skate park right next to it, and toilets as well. Some stalls selling plants, bread, coffee, cakes, woodcraft, metal sculpture and lots of other handmade items when I was there. Reasonable prices but didn't spend more than half an hour or so there. There's a great little op shop up the road as well in case nothing at the market suits - they were open on Sunday as well. Would go back but not for...
Read moreQuaint very small market offering hand made and local products. Sellers are friendly with one seller experiencing "used car salesman" flashbacks from the in_your_face high pressure sales technique he was using. It was fun to watch people run the gauntlet near his stall. Had some home-cooked buns and scones with home made jam. Go to thus market as part of the region's experience. We drive approximately 5 minutes and went for an amazing 45min walk through a temperate rainforest. Then drove through some amazing back roads and experienced the amazing countryside (yes we got lost but gave us a chance to use the offline maps...
