If you have kids who love riding bikes, they will love this playground/park or just someone who loves spending time outdoors, this is a fantastic park that you must visit.
This park is a true gem, offering something for everyone, from kids to picnic enthusiasts.
The centrepiece of the park is the bike park, which features some nice road-like obstacles for kids to feel like their driving on a real road. What's particularly unique about this bike park is that it includes a network of traffic lights and stop signs, which adds an extra layer of realism to the experience. Kids can practice their road safety skills as they ride through the park, learning how to obey traffic signals and navigate intersections.
In addition to the bike park, the park boasts a sprawling playground that's perfect for kids of all ages. There are plenty of things to climb, including jungle gyms and climbing walls, as well as slides and swings for those who prefer to stay closer to the ground. And for the more adventurous types, there's even a secret little garden to explore, where kids can wander among the flowers and discover hidden nooks and crannies.
When it's time to refuel, there are plenty of options available. There's cafes 5 minutes walk away where you can grab a cup of coffee and a pastry or where you can indulge in a sweet treat. And if you're in the mood for something more substantial, there are several picnic areas scattered throughout the park, complete with BBQ facilities and plenty of shady trees.
If you're looking for a place to burn off some energy, the park's oval is the perfect place to run around, play frisbee, or even have a game of footy. And if you're a basketball or netball fan, there are rings available where you can practice your jump shots and layups.
All in all, this park is a fantastic destination for anyone who loves spending time outdoors. With its bike park, playground, picnic areas, and sports facilities, there's something for everyone to enjoy. So why not pack a picnic basket, grab your bike, and head on over for a day of fun in the sun, you won't be...
Read more4.5 stars! Marie Wallace, also known locally as, "The Train Park", has lots of variety of activities for all ages. It's relatively safe from the busy roads nearby however it needs more all abilities and toddler safe play equipment. It has some that are aimed at toddlers that are actually really unsafe (like the big wooden arch with slide behind the train - photo provided, they get to the top and fall straight off 🤦♀️) and it only has 1 toddler swing.. As far as I could tell there's no equipment aimed at people with disabilities,
The gardens and big spinning doors are my toddler's favourite, there's also a sandpit and sculptures to climb on/run around in that he likes.
Overall it's an amazing park with a great bike/scooter track aimed at little people. It has a bike fixing station too which is useful if riding in from the main roads/bike trails. There's also a mini skate area, half basketball court, climbing walls and football fields for the teenagers. Some exercise equipment would be an amazing addition but there's still something for almost everyone!
Of course the big, red steam train complete with train station is a favourite for all kids and adults. There's also BBQs, picnic tables, toilets, an off leash dog area and...
Read moreIts got a great selection of play areas. Witch has pros and cons. Unfortunately with little kids it's very hard to keep track of them. U have to literally chase them around. There is so many exits to the play areas that go towards the roads. I feel like all play areas should be fenced in for safety reasons. And i feel like you should have BBQs in areas that U can see over the play ground... But in saying that for just that bit older age group this park is well set out with basketball hoops, footy oval and climbing things and even biking area too. Good parking area inside and on street next to. If this park had additional fencing it would be amazing. The bbqs were not all working so we had to go across to the rear of the park to cook and bring it all back witch was annoying. The rest rooms where pretty clean for public restrooms. And it's dog friendly (on leash only) they have taps for drinking and for dogs to get water too. But overall the kids had a good day! And i didn't loose a child. So...
