Well this wasn't my first time here, but I couldn't have been here more than a handful of times. It is a Buddhist place of worship which my partner's family frequents. Probably the 2nd biggest temple I've been to in Australia and has all the standard temple things; scenic, idyllic environment, Giant sculptures bigger than people in every nook and cranny, those tall towers which aren't decorative and do have a purpose but can only be accessed using the stairs, head shaven monks chanting in their yellow monastery cloaks, fish ponds that were obviously once remarkable but are now showing signs of neglect... And then there are features you should had known but never thought a temple to have. Like a communal kitchen and grand dining hall, private parking lot and public toilets. My last visit was not a happy occasion; a funeral for my partner's Grandmother. Read moreBeautiful temple. Can't believe it's close to me and I only just visited. I had the deep feeling that I needed to go to temple so bought some incense and lit my joss sticks there. It's super cool and it really feels like you're in Asia. It's a Vietnamese temple but also has the Thai/ Chinese feel to it. Great sculptures, gardens and architecture. Don't forget to take your shoes off when you say hi to Buddha, and don't let the soles of your feet face Buddha if you go into the worship room. Read moreThis is a Vietnamese Buddhism temple. It’s open for everyone that share the same belief and respect for Buddhism. Such a great peaceful place to come for some quiet time for medication. The gardens are beautiful and amazing surrounded by a lot of different Buddha statues.
